Days of Future Past What about the music?

I'm so pissed this soundtrack isn't in stores yet! These scores usually come out before the movie does, but not this one. It was scheduled for June 28th, but now it's listed at July 12. :(

But I think once I do get it, Magneto's theme will become my entrance music in my WWE games :)

Why has nobody mentioned the official song by Take That?

Maybe it's a different release date around the world, but I saw it. Back cover has the ending scene with mags, and all.

Yeah, I adore the score. There's not one track I don't like. Which is a first for me. And 'Sublift' is brilliant - it's epic and brings together both the Magneto's theme and the X-Men theme. It's really showcasing Erik at his peak.

Love the score. I love it so damn much I bought three songs for my IPod, Sub Lift, First Class and Magneto...the epicness is with me wherever I go. :awesome:

I bought the entire thing. I can seriously listen to the whole shabang without wanting to skip a beat, but my favorites are First Class, Frankenstein's Monster, Cerebro, Rise Up To Rule, Cold War (one I really thought I wouldn't care for,) X-Training, Rage And Serenity, True Colours, Let Battle Commence, Sublift, Mutant And Proud and Magneto. So nearly everything. :o

I'd get the whole thing too, but sadly i've run out of dinero. :o Must REDEEM!

I just wish they included that groovy instrumental from the Gnarles Barkley song that started up during the Angel recruitment scene and 'Love, Love' by Take That. I'd buy the latter, but it hasn't been released in the states. And I also need to redeem. :o

Oh for sure it's groovy, I fully agree. Charles even approves of the grooviness.

One of my favorite superhero scores since Spider-Man 2.

It was absolutely fantastic, and I hope that Jackman is kept for the sequel.

I'm actually listening to this now, as I type.

Looking at the playcount in itunes?

First Class has 52
Pain & Anger - 63
Mobelise for Russia - 45
Cold War - 69
To beast, or not to beast - 73

And that's only my top 5 tracks :o

The score was brilliant I think thats another thing it had over the other movies, the score was better than any of the previous X-Men films.

The score was brilliant. The Last Stand's was my fave X-Men score before this but this one tops it by far. My top 5 tracks in no order:

-Rage and Serenity
-Sub Lift
-Frankenstein's Monster
-Mutant and Proud
-Cerebro

Erik's 10-note theme was chilling. Loved it.

I read an interesting review of the music a little while ago, wish I could find it again. It was a positive review but drew attention to Coup D'Etat for not being powerful enough to represent the depth and darkness of Charles feeling the coin. I thought his screaming was powerful enough but upon listening to the track alone I see what he means. That scene is one of the biggest turning points of the film.

I can't agree with that. The Last Stand is hands down my favorite score of the X-Men films.

I really love a couple pieces off of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, most notably Kayla and Wade Goes To Work, but X-Men: First Class certainly has the better score on the whole.

But I can't rate it higher than X-Men: The Last Stand. That score was just... amazing. It's one of my favorite scores ever. Probably only behind the Lord of the Rings scores.

The Last Stand had some amazing music, mixed in with some less than stellar music. I think First Class is more consistently solid.

However, X2 is just IT for me. Not a single priece of music I don't like.

'X2''s score is my second favorite, but I don't enjoy the overall score like I do this one. There's certain tracks that I always skip over.

I could see that. I still think the amazing music is enough to push it above X-Men: First Class tho.

Phoenix Rises is definitely the single greatest piece of music associated with these films. :o
