Hahaha damn, didn't know that. Tangled Web, listen to Sparkle! From what I've seen of him he's a pretty smart guy.
 
After reading all of this, the biggest mistake IMO Tangled Web made was telling her she's out of his league. There is absolutely no reason to ever say or think that, and I'm serious. I'm not just blowing sunshine up your ass to make you feel better.

Also, I agree that the texting thing is always bad. Even AIM and whatnot is a bad way to actually talk about these types of things.

I think you're right. I'm always more persuasive on the phone. But I don't really want to talk to her if she's just going to tell half truths and say a bunch of bull****.

IF you truly believe it's destined to be, then it will happen no matter what you do, so you might as well enjoy life instead of just daydreaming about what you think is going to happen. Remember, life isn't a romantic comedy. You're not Hugh Grant, she's not Meg Ryan. What you think is the perfect happy ending might not happen. But there is still good news. That perfect happy ending you envision, isn't the only happy ending life has to offer.

There's this girl. She got me to admit I liked her and all that and she said that I definitley have a shot with her. The only problem was is that she had a boyfriend. After some talking she told me that she doesn't like him and he's too clingy.

She said she wants to break up with him. Did my revelation prompt this? I have no idea. Well, she sends me a text saying that she broke up with him (with a smiley face on it.) Well, I misplaced my cell for two days. I find it and I reply that "I don't know what to say." She then tells me that "it's been one of the worst days ever!" I ask if there is anything she can do, but she says no.
So that was on Wednsday, so today I send her a text asking if she feels better. She said "yes" because "Jimmy (**** it his name is Jimmy) finally talked to me today after being mad at me." So know I have no idea what the **** is going on.

She's playing some weird chess game with me. I need to know how I can try to get the real scoop without making it seem obvious that I care. I want to come off like (you know) not really concerned.

Any suggestions?

she's testing you.. she wants to see HOW MUCH you care.. she probably got upset cause you didnt respond to the text.. so she is trying to make it seem like she no longer is interested in you... she is putting her feelers out again..cause she is cautious... when she originally text you that she broke up she wanted you to console her.. she was hurt that you didnt.... so know she's back with her man and acting like you had no affect on her.. shenanigans!..you do...she wants you or she wouldnt talk to you like she does... but watch it with this one..she's emotionally unstable..but i forgot you're sixteen they ALL ARE at that age...


bottom line she wants you my man.. you are her shoulder to lean on...
but dont FORCE her to break up with him again..that will give her an "out" everytime y'all get into a fight...

It wasn't until summer of '05 that I regularly posted on community. I mainly just read those sad bastards on the Spider-Man boards talk about how optimistic they were towards the franchise. :csad:

true, but the good thing about talking to her (or anyone where you just really want the truth)in person is that it makes it much harder for them to lie. It's much easier to lie over the internet or texting because you aren't looking them in the face when you do it. She can spout on about how much she loves talking to you over a text, but it's much harder to lie like that in front of you.

of course she called you a jerk. Trust me, I've said the same thing to women before, they don't like being told that. Sometimes it's because they know they've been found out and are getting defensive, but mostly it's because they don't really realize they're doing it (especially at your age). They just liek the attention, and want more. It doesn't necessarily make them a bad person, but it doesn't mean that you have to cater to them either. While it probably would have been best to not speak to her for a while, since you did, that was probably the best thing to say.

A little honesty is ok and of course he shouldn't lie.......he just took things much too far when he should've kept quiet :dry:
