I think there was confusion in what we are talking about here. Occasional slang? Sure everyone does it from time to time. I am speaking about those that go to school and never learn the correct way of speaking. Basically upon any situation they talk "ghetto" because they don't speak anything else. In other words for those that choose to speak that way and never learn anything else. Yep it's a choice to go to school and only speak ghetto even when being offered to learn another way that will get you farther in life. Eh we've exhausted this subjet by now

I love the fact that I, one who "speaks ghetto," can spell better than you. Also, my sentences hold better cohesion than yours.

It implements something called the continuative tense.

Etcetera, but "we" don't have a verb to make clear that someone was, is, and will always be stupid;

Just like the title says. Sure, a lot of us sound articulate when we're typing on a keyboard, but it's an entirely different matter when the words are comin' out your mouth.

Myself, being from the ghetto, I switch from sounding very much like I do on here, to speaking in ebonics, though not on a large level.

Example:

Online: " I don't have any of that."

IRL: " I ain't got none'a that, foo.' "

ive never said that word before, and to think of it, i don't think i've ever heard anyone else say it either.

everyone in my family cusses like sailors, except me. I just always hated how vulgar and ignorant most sounded (not just my family) when every other word is profane.

I'm the only one in my immediate family who graduated high school, I am very proud of my intelligence and if I can't say what I want without reverting to a curse word, I don't need to say it.

The last time I cussed was November 20 2005.

The purpose of language is to communicate ones thoughts among other things, so long as your being understood your speaking well.
Even if your using slang, curse words, or messing up the language a bit.

that's not exactly what i meant.

ironically enough, it's kinda hard to explain. It guess I've likened it to the same experience as eating the same thing every day for an extended amount of time. eventually you'll grow tired of it and not want it anymore.

i used to cuss all the time when i was younger, (early teens mostly). everyone else around me did it, so i guess it kinda grew into my vocab. but eventually i just got tired of it. just my personal preference, i don't mind if others cuss, i just choose not to.
