It recently occured to me that at some point in the near future all my current friends will be gone to Uni in far away places. And i figure I can't be the only one here with a poor freind making ability. So...how does one do it?

Even the lame anti social people can make friends. You think it is...but I can assure you, go to a place where people will like what you like. Talk to them. If theres a connection...then bingo, you've got a friend.

So, I'm assuming you're in high school, will you be going to college as well? College is a great place to make friends, just be socialable, find a mutual interest with a person and talk about that. Usually it leads to other topics, if you're personalities mesh, you'll have a friend.

Throw some money up in the air. That's bound to attract some "friends".

Yeah "making it rain" always helps, as long as you're not in a strip club and your name isn't Pac Man.

no... my mates have done their first few years and uni down here but have to go away to do the last two... i currently have employment...

I have issues making friends, namely ones who I can actually hangout with. I meet them through work or school and most the of them end up being women who are A. married or B. Has a boyfriend who is too insecure to "allow" her to hang out with me for any given reason or activity. Go figure.

That or you can build a robot, perform a séance and have the robot become the body for a dead dude and become their best friend like that movie And You Thought Your Parents Were Weird also known as RoboDad

I know the feeling mate. 80% of my friends are either leaving for Uni, or are too involved with the love lifes to wanna hang out with me. Which I guess I cant blame 'em for.

all of my friends are lame... they are like chicks... you have to call them atleast two times week, and make sure you hang out atleast once on the weekend... otherwise they get mad and all wierd...
