I could honestly care less who the mother is anymore. When ever they focus on the mother story it is always the weakest episodes. They always seem so contrived & intentionally drawn out.

I can tell you right now that if I was the son. I would have walk out on my dad by now. I don't give a sh** if I got grounded.

NPH is the only reason this show is even still on the air. He single handedly saved this show.

like Joey he works when he is a side character.if he would get hes own show it would not get enough viewers.

Also, Barney is actually awesome and played by a terrific actor. Joey is neither, so that might make a difference if Barney would ever get his own show. Not saying i want a Barney show, though.

I probably wouldn't be interested in that at all. I find Barney awesome, but he only works being together with Ted, Lilly, Robin and Marshall. A show just focused on Barney would get boring real quickly.

The funny came back a bit, still not all the way there. It may never return but its got its hooks in me for now.

If Ted doesnt meet her until the wedding then it kind of stops me paying attention to any girl that Ted dates up until the wedding.

But I like the premier. It wasnt hilarious, but it was a big step in the right direction. And Rachel Bilson making out with that girl didnt hurt either

So Barney and Robin get married? It seemed a little too obvious. I'm not a fan of them as a couple but if it happens in the future then i don't mind. Pretty good episode, not classic but a good episode to start the season with.

i still think that Ted will have kids with a women and then they will divorce. they will still be friends and he will be with Robin. so at the end he will tell the story how he met their mother but he will be with Robin.they call her aunt and all are happy.

about Barney and Robin getting married. i know that this is a sitcom but that those two would get married so fast? i think not.
