That adoption theory is interesting, but I'd much rather see Ted finally get the fairy tale ending where he meets a girl gets married and has kids.

Funny thing though, I was watching one of the older episodes, and they showed Ted's wedding, where you only see Barney and Marshall and then Ted as he's on the altar looking at his wife. So I wonder if we'll actually get glimpses of him with the wife once she's revealed. Like the show won't end with him just meeting her, but also some flashed of them spending time together, getting married and having kids as part of a montage in the series finale.

Was that a season 1 episode where we glimpses of his wedding? I don't remember it but it's been a while since I've seen all of season 1. (sometimes I catch the reruns on tv).

Well the episode I saw last night was from season 2, but I'm pretty sure they showed it first in season 1 because Barney's hair was styled the way it was during the first season.

Or maaaaaaaaybe Ted eventually finds a way to cross between parallel universes, finds a universe where he and Robin never broke up and eventually got married, discovered that they had two children together, kills that universe's Ted, kidnaps the children and Robin, and takes them back to this universe.

The reveal wasn't a surprise really, seemed rather obvious about halfway through the ep. I'm actually disappointed they are going this route. For me, this show has dipped in quality over the last 2 seasons and needs to get back on track.

I agree. The show has gotten away from Ted's story. They'll reference it in the season premieres and finales but that's about it. Episodes 2-21 is about everyone else.

Just checked the wiki page for season 7 and the next new episode will be next week, but I would assume that the break has started. I was actually worried because I missed last night's episode so now I'm glad to hear I didn't.

It is indeed, I discovered this mid-day yesterday and was like "Eh, guess I'll finally give this a shot." I didn't stop watching till around 4am.....

Heh, I had a friend at my place and we watched a couple episodes. He doesn't get to watch the show often, because he doesn't want to download anything on his new PC. So he barely watched the current season. We were at Episode 3 and he already commented how annoyed he was by Robin at this point.

I already told him, if that's the case, then he's going to hate her by the end of the season.
