When How I Met Your Mother launches its seventh season this fall, someone in Marshall’s life will look very different. Almost like an entirely different person. Because, well, he will be!

In the Season 6 finale, Marshall’s potential new boss was played by funnyman Dave Foley. Alas, the NewsRadio alum’s CBS pilot, How to Be a Gentleman, scored a pick-up and Thursdays-at-8:30 time slot, making him unavailable to return to the Monday sitcom.

So, who’s the boss… now? Enter funnyman Martin Short. According to New York Magazine‘s Vulture blog, Short has been cast in a recurring role as the new head of Marshall’s new company — which essentially means Lily’s man got his dream job.

Martin Short.

Still working my way through last season, only just met Nora, boy I wish C4 would keep up!

The greatest trick Ted Mosby ever played was getting his kids to listen
to long boring stories about his past and friends that never really happened.

Interesting. Barney the Dinosaus, Marshall Speaker, Lily flowers, that other stuffed bird looks like a Robin. I wonder if the name of the butterfly species is the name of the mother?

You do see that this is just a photoshop, yes?

man DVD art and posters have taken a dive IMO in like the last year

Alot of the DVD art I've seen lately looks pretty good. Just this one.... ugh. It's like Fox didn't even bother putting in any effort.

Sorry if anyone thought it was real. I tried to make it look real, but I doubted my ability. It is meant to suggest that Ted is telling his children all these stories, for years, and none of it is true. All made up on the spot. Lilly flowers, a stuffed Robin, Barney the dinosaur, Marshal speakers. the Butterfly is meant to have inspired the butterfly tattoo story, the goat is meant to be the inspiration for the goat story, and the book about Canada is meant to be where Ted got the idea that Robin is Canadian. [BLACKOUT]Its like the Usual Suspects (you can see a framed poster in the back behind Barney), where it turns out the entire movie is a story cooked up by Spacey's character on the spot using things from around the cops office.[/BLACKOUT]

I just thought it would be funny to find out that this whole time none of this really happened.

Its cool. I think I was just missing LOST so much that I had a bit of a flashback.:o

That was a really good shop job by the way. Even after being told, it is hard to tell it is shopped.

I didn't have to add the empire state building, it was already in the picture. But luckily it helps my idea come across.

I was going to add more items in the background but it began to look too cluttered.

My suggestion would be the umbrella, some swords and a toy cowboy with red boots. Maybe a pineapple too

Yeah, it and The Big Bang Theory are the best comedies on TV, hard to choose between them
