I know most of you must hate me for being so argumentative about the Avengers film but its all in good fun here. But anyways I was thinking about what a possible story could be for a solo sequel film.
Now most of us can agree that The Leader will most likely be a part of the next film. And some of us probably have an assumption that the Abomination will most likely be there too figuring Tim Roth is signed for three films.
So here it is my loose outline for my idea of the next Hulk film -- (If anyone wonders how someone who is 25 has this much time on his hands its because my profession allows me to have a lot of time to write, figuring I am a writer outside of running amok on these boards).
So we open up in a small town in Colorado. We see a young boy sitting at the dinning room table after getting a glass of water from the faucet. He takes a small sip of the glass.
Next morning he wakes up not feeling so well come to find out he has boils of radiation all over his skin. He is suffering from gamma poisoning, which has hit everyone in this small town.
Cut to the General Ross instructing his soldiers that this is the 8th case of town-wide gamma poisoning in the past 2 years. It always originates from the water supply. Of course a one Bruce Banner comes up in the conversation but his whereabouts, just like the beginning of the previous film are unknown. The topic though is swiftly brought back to the gamma poisoning situation and who they could get to help with this. General Ross, reluctantly mentions his daughter, Betty. He knows she might not be able to be a huge help figuring she isnt a gamma radiation expert but any help is a useful.
Cut to Bruce Banner, going by David now, working in a university in Seattle. He has a goatee now and keeps a low profile by acting as a slightly mentally challenged janitor at the science building. At night he sneaks into various labs and attempts a cure (A little tribute to The Death of the Incredible Hulk), but lately he is getting desperate. Even though he has been able to control the creature some of the time lately, there is a part of him that is starting to feel he will lose all control. By the way it has been 267 Days since the last incident.
Well to make this a little quicker to read and because the rest isnt greatly plotted yet. We find out that the gamma poisoning is due from our friend Samuel Sterns, now of course the Leader. He realizes that him and Banner are two different people (Both in the way they act and genetically). Unlike Banner, whos DNA allows him to maintain his cellular structure even though it is heavily irradiated with gamma rays, his cells and body is breaking down since his change into a gamma radiated being. Thus the reason why he has been poisoning towns and running experiments on various people, to see who has the same type of genetic structure as Banner, so he can try to clone that DNA and RNA into his own body, preventing him from dying. During this, the people who happen to actually stay alive from this (There are only a few), are beings like Half-Life, Ogress, Hotshot, Jailbait, Omnibus, maybe the Crawling Unknown, all being held in a location the Leader has dubbed Freehold (These beings are on life support and in glass jars its almost as if Sterns is studying them over time to see if they degenerate).
But he soon realizes that he needs Banner regardless of whether his experiments are successful or not because time is running out for him and the only one who could possibly help him is a creature he helped create, Abomination.
During this time he infects another town, drawing the army to location, and decides to break free Abomination (By using mind control are on the few guards left at the Vault where Emil is being held.) A side note -- he cant directly take the DNA from Emil due from the super soldier shots he received before the metamorphosis, Emils DNA wont work. So he decides to do the next best thing -- infect the one person Banner cares about, Betty.
So Betty gets the gamma poisoning forcing Gen Ross to get pissed off at whoever is behind this. Someone mentions they need Banner maybe he can help. Ross, extremely agitated at this whole situation, decides to go on national TV to draw Banner out of hiding telling him that Betty is sick. Of course Banner is a tad paranoid this might be a trap but doesnt want to take the chance of Betty actually dying or worst, ending up like him.
How is that for a plot so far? Let me know what you guys think as to whether or not that would work or be interesting.
