How many of you like comics and collect action figures and have a girlfriend?

I do that stuff. Nothing wrong with it. I don't think it's bad, it's what I like.

I never asked a girl out. I'm afraid to. Not because I have too much trouble talking to them, it's because I'm afraid they'll just think I'm weird for what I do and not go out or something.

I shouldn't even have to be afraid about this, it's stupid. But I am.

Anyone have the same problem?

Wow. This is new. I've never seen a thread last ten minutes in this forum without a post.

Who wants to buy some of my action figures? I need to clear some **** out of my room.

is it even possible to collect the two and have a gf?.....I didn't think so

I went one better and have a fiance. She's into Wonder Woman, and I'm into Batman. She only collects dolls and action figures, not comics. But she's cool with my habits.

Me and my girl have a place together, and the front room is adorned with various superhero pictures. We've even got a Wonder Woman poster we're gonna frame and put up. We constantly make jokes about comic references [mainly mainstream for her--IE, if something happens, we but hum the "Lonely Man" ending theme from Incredible Hulk].

There are no girls in my school who like comics.

How old are you, webhead? If you're like 13, I'd say there's not really much to worry about. If you're more like 17...I'd sweat it a bit. :o

In either case, I would think the best advice anyone could offer is to simply not be afraid of that possible rejection. Will you be rejected? Possibly - hell, definitely - but unless you're like seriously messed up, it won't happen every time, and eventually you'll find someone who accepts you.

I look at it this way; some of the most retched, horrible people I've ever been unfortunate enough to see have found someone to be with, and if they can do it, I would bloody well hope us non-retched people could.

And what's worse is that you get made fun of for collecting what you like.

Lemme tell you something I learned a long time ago, dude. High School really doesn't matter. Do you honestly think you're gonna see any of those cats 5 years from now? And even if you do, do you really think it will be something important? The answer should be no. They are High School cool, and that kinda stuff doesn't really matter.

This is why dating a fangirl is best. Though it comes with its faults...namely the fangirl part

beg to differ, none of my ex's mind about my collection and some of us hyper's are married and still collect comics and action figures and more

I don't have any of those things so quit complaining.

Fortunately for me, my comic obsessions are "cute and dorky" to her :confused:

The problem isn't collecting comic books. The problem is only being known for collecting comic books. If that's what defines you, people won't take you seriously.

Thanks.^

I hardly ever talk about it and I'm not known for it. A few kids have thought it was funny that I like X-Men.

Screw them.:down
