How many of you like comics and collect action figures and have a girlfriend?

I used to collect comics way back, as well as comic cards. never really made a difference with the kids back then. Most of us all did it together. GO to the local comic shop everyday and what not. I recently got back into collecting them abut 12 years later. I have a wonderful girlfriend and I'm even more into collecting. I been buying Busts, mini statues and what not. Its just of matter of time. Plus High school is just a fun time nother more. Most of your friends come out of college or life after high school:spidey:

Dont hide them. The girls I've dated none of them cared that liked comics or had figures. It's just a small part of my interests. You're 15 you'll be fine dont sweat it, now if you were 25 and still couldnt ask a girl out that would be different

Why hide them? I currently have no girlfriend, but I've had a few, and had a few potential gf's in recent months. When I admit the comic geek thing, or they figure it out, most have found it cute and endearing. Mainly they like my passion for Superman and the philosophy I have about him. Of course the action figure thing doesn't apply as much, but i do have my comic statues so those count.

In the end, not really a big deal.

I have friends who are girls and they don't really care. I have action figures and all kinds of geeky stuff all over my place.

Thanks.^

I hardly ever talk about it and I'm not known for it. A few kids have thought it was funny that I like X-Men.

Screw them.:down

Amen Bro. You are who you are, don't dare change for nobody.

People mock, they always will. If it's not about one thing, it's about another. Eventually, they'll grow up and realize it's a hobby like any other.

As for asking a girl out 3 things:
1) Find a pretty girl you might like
2) Walk up to her and say: would you like to go (insert fun activity like bowling, mini-golf, movie, etc here) sometime?
3) If she accepts set up a date, if she turns you down then try again with a different girl. DOn't let a failure trip you up...and don't be afraid of rejection, that's what keeps most guys from meeting that girl that they'd really be happy with.

As long as you don't make it a big deal of your relationship and your habit won't interrupt too much, you shouldn't be worried about anything. There are hot girls that like star wars you know :o

even though Star Wars doesn't have much to do with this

I got my gf into Star Wars Unleashed figures and Lego. She has the Lego Imperial Star Destroyer. Something even I don't have.

Some people can get pretty crazy over Star Wars though.

You guys here are really nice and encouraging. Thanks.:)

Do you think a 12 inch Spider-Man, Venom, and Doc Ock will have any effect on a girl?

i'm married and i collect comics and action figures. my wife doesn't pretend she's into those things, but she respects my taste in hobbies.

I Have posters on my wall of Spidey, and the new civil war poster. I have a spiderman fleece throw over one of my chairs. My ex got me spiderman monopoly. Think of it this way. My ex used to say that I was the easiest person to get gifts for. Which is soo true She could go to the comic store, the toy store and get whatever. So i dont think your 12 spidey is going to matter. Heck my new GF has to deal with my bathroom. Spidey Shower curtin, 2 spidey bobble heads, a spidey clock, 2 spidey posters, a Spidey soap dish, tooth brush holder, a few Trade paper backs of ultimate spiderman, And the bath mat and towels are red and blue. Hows that for being a spidey fan.And yet she still loves me!!!

I do all that and have been married for 11 years.

My relatiohsip with my g/f is reversed....she's the one who collects action figures, comics, and anime.

I just buy some anime and the only action figures I have own are of Advent Children CLoud and Sephiroth(which my g/f got me:up: )
