How many of you like comics and collect action figures and have a girlfriend?

I wish I was more tolerant about races like you.

You really think I should hide them?
Well hey if you know a place where she wouldn't possibly look for then ya. But let's say she does see them might as well just bow up and get the truth off your chest.

i respect people for being into comics and having action figures!i need to find me a bloke who collects Xmen comics cos a little strictly manga lolita like me doesn't stand a chance in my comic shop-they look down on me the idiots!i need help getting into my new obsession why won't you help me instead of being big headed!!!so in short-don't change man!i'd kill for a bloke that likes comics and all this!

I have friends who are girls, but most think I'm a moron for my comic interests. Damn the liberal media for making us fans look like, masking tape on glasses-40 year old at home-don't know much beyond the latest Cinegeek magazine-twits. Damn them!

Well I don't collect toys (anymore--my Transformers collection was collected several years ago), and comics tend to be more socially acceptable due to the recent wave of movies. However I find if you are ashamed of it, thats what kills you with girls. If you act like it's no big deal, then it's no big deal.

Every one of my long-lasting relationships has been with a girl who already liked comics before we got together. Action Figures are out though, collecting them crosses my geek-line.
With the small exception of:
I had always dreamed of a Death Star gunner and T.I.E. pilot action figure when I was a kid ('cause they're all black and the coolest looking guys in Star Wars), so when they made them in the 90's I bought one of each, and, I was always in love with the Snaggletooth figure when I was a kid and later when I learned that there had been a super-rare mistake Snaggletooth that was full human height in blue with silver boots, that became a kind of Holy Grail item and when I get one it will be displayed like a museum piece, but with a strong sense of irony.

I collect comics and action figures, I have them displayed all around my room at the house i live in at college, and I've never had a problem with girls. I find that the girls who think its dorky and childish are the ones i don't particularly like because they are superficial chikenheads anyway. Never had a problem with girls, then again I'm an NCAA division 1 athlete and have an english accent in america... so they eat that up anyway.

if a girl is freaked out about my comics or geek-related crap all over my house..then they aren't worth my time.

You need to give her whats strong enough for a man but made for a woman...

I'll give you some advice, in highschool I was popular, played sports and still managed to read comics. Sure your friends think it's dorky but just own it man, confidence in your passions is more important than what your passion actually is...you may take a little **** for it but most likely you won't be rejected because of it, and if you are then that isn't the type of person who is worth your time to begin with. As you get older and move into college you really stop caring what people think about you, and I'll tell you right now my batman statue on my desk has seen my bed shaking plenty of times and I've got a girlfriend who couldn't care less what I'm into because that **** doesn't define you...so don't worry about it you'll find someone who digs you eventually, it's all in how you carry yourself man.
