How many times have you seen Man of Steel?

7 times... and those were awesome!!!

Just got home from my second view (it opened here in Brasil today), and I loved it even more. Not only a great super hero movie, but also a great sci-fi one. I need to watch it more times to know which place it will be on my top 3 CB movies (the other two being X-2 and Spider-Man 2). :)

That's exactly how I felt last year with The Dark Knight Rises. I came out of the theatre thinking "wow, Nolan had low expectations given what he accomplished with TDK, and he absolutely surpassed TDK." Now, after repeated viewings of TDKR and viewings of the trilogy as a whole, I rank TDK and TDKR as my 1st and 2nd favourite CBMs respectively.

I might need repeated viewings to see if MoS hits the top 5 (and chances are it will be, I was blown away when I first saw it, in the same way that I was blown away after watching TDKR).

I understand. I also rate TDKR higher than TDK, an opinion my dad also shares. Btw, he was blown away by MOS too.

3 times. Might see it one more time though.

Do you have any sense of how it's doing in Brasil. I realize its only just opened, but reviews, news reports and just average people talking about it might give some kind of a hint of how it might do.

I don't know much about reviews (the few ones i have read were positive), but the recepton by the public has been great.

Last night was the 10th and likely final time. Saw that and Pacific Rim for the 2nd time. :) Only movie I've seen more times than MOS TDKR with 11 viewings and TDK with 12 viewings.
If I had to rank how many times I've seen a movie in theaters more than 5 times it would be like this:
5-Skyfall with 5 viewings
4-The Avengers with 8 viewings
3-Man Of Steel with 10 viewings
2-The Dark Knight Rises with 11 viewings
1-The Dark Knight with 12 viewings.

10 viewings :wow: and do u still love it after all those times?

*Bane voice* OF COURSE. There are so many little things I notice with each viewing. And of course, my love for Faora and all the female characters grows with each viewing. :D

10 times?

The most I've ever seen a film is 6 times. The Dark Knight.

Now that I think about it, Skyfall and the first Iron Man are tied as far as theater viewing experiences for me.

Dude, you're the best! You really support the films you love. And you've definitely supported MoS.

I award you $1 million points sir! :woot:

You'd think after seeing it that many times this would be my reaction:

And you'd be right. :D

Twice.

I've gotten to the age where I don't see movies more than once in theaters very often -- I think this is the first time I've seen a movie multiple times in theaters since Inception.

Might see it a third time since I have a buddy who wants to see it.

I saw it again the other day and I got to say this movie gets way better with multiple viewings. The pacing issues I had for the first viewing got better. It wasn't as jarring. It also seemed shorter too. I really appreciated the VFX and how badass Faora was. I wish that the Flash moves like her in his solo film (if WB ever gets around to do it).

Going for 9 tonight at 12midnight.....only in 3d though not imax:(....one more time after that and I'll pack it in get ready for blu ray

2 times for me. I think that's enough for me...including dvd/blu ray.

Today I noticed for the first time after my 11th viewing, that after Col. Hardy says "This man is not our enemy" and Superman flies off, the locomotive that was thrown at Superman laying on its side outside Sears. Don't know how I missed that for this long. Btw I guess it is because I like the film so much I never really understood the complaints about the editing/pacing. Not saying they don't exist for some, but for me they were nonexistent.

Never noticed that.....maybe more viewings are needed lol....yea I don't get it either. There were flaws but for me it wasn't enough for me to turn away. And there was only 3 of us tonight lol....:( and what a dead couple they were. No laughs or nothing, I think the woman was asleep at one point to smh

I personally liked the editing/pacing in the film a lot. I don't know why it bothers some people. The only time it felt a little jarring for me was when they abruptly transitioned from baby Clark in a rocket ship to adult Clark on a boat. I just wasn't expecting to see him all grown up right away. It also kind of makes me reflect on how we take little things in the comics for granted -- like words, such as "then" or "now", which help to indicate exactly when the story is taking place, be it past, present or future.

The editing/pacing feels much better with multiple viewings. It doesn't feel as jarring as the first viewing for me.
