Just got home from my second view (it opened here in Brasil today), and I loved it even more. Not only a great super hero movie, but also a great sci-fi one. I need to watch it more times to know which place it will be on my top 3 CB movies (the other two being X-2 and Spider-Man 2).![]()
That's exactly how I felt last year with The Dark Knight Rises. I came out of the theatre thinking "wow, Nolan had low expectations given what he accomplished with TDK, and he absolutely surpassed TDK." Now, after repeated viewings of TDKR and viewings of the trilogy as a whole, I rank TDK and TDKR as my 1st and 2nd favourite CBMs respectively.
I might need repeated viewings to see if MoS hits the top 5 (and chances are it will be, I was blown away when I first saw it, in the same way that I was blown away after watching TDKR).

Do you have any sense of how it's doing in Brasil. I realize its only just opened, but reviews, news reports and just average people talking about it might give some kind of a hint of how it might do.
Only movie I've seen more times than MOS TDKR with 11 viewings and TDK with 12 viewings.
Last night was the 10th and likely final time. Saw that and Pacific Rim for the 2nd time.Only movie I've seen more times than MOS TDKR with 11 viewings and TDK with 12 viewings.
If I had to rank how many times I've seen a movie in theaters more than 5 times it would be like this:
5-Skyfall with 5 viewings
4-The Avengers with 8 viewings
3-Man Of Steel with 10 viewings
2-The Dark Knight Rises with 11 viewings
1-The Dark Knight with 12 viewings.

Yeah I don't get it either. They were nonexistent for me too.Today I noticed for the first time after my 11th viewing, that after Col. Hardy says "This man is not our enemy" and Superman flies off, the locomotive that was thrown at Superman laying on its side outside Sears. Don't know how I missed that for this long. Btw I guess it is because I like the film so much I never really understood the complaints about the editing/pacing. Not saying they don't exist for some, but for me they were nonexistent.
