Loved LOVED LOVED THIS MOVIE! I will be seeing it again and again, like most of you. Here's my question to you guys, out of all the times you've seen it, what was the BEST way to experience this film?

Opening night I saw it in ULTRA AVX 3D, which of course looked and sounded great. The next day I saw it at a work function in regular 3D, which was good but not quite as impactful. IMAX 2D has been my favorite so far, as the IMAX clarity combined with the lack of blur from 3D was perfection.

Tomorrow I go in for my fourth viewing, which will be DBOX(the motion seats) has anyone seen it in this format, if so, how was it? Seems like it would be tailor made for this film. Also, has anyone experienced this film in those fancy CINEPLEX VIP theaters? I'm speaking from my experience with Canadian theaters, not sure how it is in other parts of the world. Chime in.. if this thread is redundant or something then i'm sure you guys will let me know.

I agree, it's unfortunate that it's not always possible to have the option. Sometimes they only show IMAX movies in 3D, so I would never get the chance to see it in that format unless I paid extra for the useless 3D.

The 3D I saw one of my 4 virwings was ok but did not add much. I have watched it twice at the UA COURT ST. in downtown Brooklyn in the RPX digital theatre and the clarity and crispness of the image, along with sound was fantastic. Compared to the regular 2D showing and 3D there is no comparison. I did not notice any of the shaky cam aspects people are complaining about until I watched it 2D regular and 3Dregular. Find a digital showing brothers and sisters.

I just finished watching it in a regular 2D theater a few minutes ago. My first viewing was in IMAX 3D and my second viewing was XD 3D (basically an all digital, huge theater with cushy seats and upgraded sound). They all had their merits, but if I had it my way, I'd see it in IMAX 2D if I could (which isn't an option for me).

I really didn't see the point of the 3D for this movie. I watched it in IMAX when I was on vacation in Chicago, and I was really disappointed in the Navy Pier theater. The glasses were incredibly cheap and had water spots on them, and they turned the sound up so loud that it was actually distorted. I like it really loud, but there is a difference between loud and crisp and loud and distorted. I find it annoying that all of the nice, big theaters in my city are only playing it in 3D. I did find it interesting that the small, 2D theater I saw it in this morning was full and the crowd seemed more into it than the 450+ sold out crowd in IMAX last weekend.

The 3D D Box was truly amazing - it felt like I was flying. :) Best viewing experience yet. Gonna do the IMAX this weekend.

Seriously? It was really good huh?! I can't find any reviews and i'm SO curious. I've only done DBOX twice and while it was pretty cool even a long time ago I always thought MOS would be the ideal movie to see it in, because of the flying. Can't believe I haven't heard more about it.

I would think it would make people a bit nauseous with all that shaky handheld.

Personally, not me. It just made the screen darker and really blurry sans the Smallville fight and the flight sequences.

IMAX 3D gives me a headache. I always end up adjusting the 3D glasses all movie long.

I saw it in a regular 2D theatre opening day. Then I saw it in IMAX 3D a couple days ago. The second viewing was a better experience but I think that's due to the IMAX and not the 3D. The 3D was mostly useless. The only times it was really noticeable that it was 3D was in the very beginning, then it just seems like the converters got lazy and left the rest of the film in 2D.

I'll probably see it again tomorrow and do it in regular IMAX this time. I suspect that's the best way to go.

I have terrible motion sickness (I've actually thrown up while driving (yes, I was the driver) on a road with a lot of bends and turns and I use Dramamine, sea bands, and ginger gum whenever I go on a plane).

Even so, I had zero problems with this movie in IMAX 3D. My family actually asked me if I was okay at one point and I didn't know why they were concerned. The shaky camera is fine; it's when the view is smooth and all-encompassing, like in a typical IMAX nature film or planetarium film, that the wretching begins. :yay:

3D Imax... Was the best experience I ever had at the Theater... MOS is by far the most fun movie and origin movie ever... I've watch Avengers three times and same for MOS. The difference is I enjoy MOS more every time I watch it. Avenger got worst for me after every viewing...

It was the most full octane D-Box experience I've ever had lol. And I've gone five times it finally accomplished --

Starts at 1:40 mark.

Full octane power! Lol. A woman was literally having to grasp her seat a couple of times. Granted, everyone turns it to the highest level possible. It's slow at moments, but when the action kicks in - you're along for the ride of your life.

I haven't saw it in IMAX yet. How is it?

True IMAX 3D screen is awesome... I say go watch it while its still available. Once in a life time chance for MOS in IMAX 3D... You'll love it... I know I did.

My first viewing was a regular 2D midnight showing, then a second time in that format.

Last night, I saw it in IMAX 3D, and loved it! I was a little skeptical about the 3D, since that the movie wasn't filmed in 3D and has the shakey cam. I just might not be a 3D aficionado, but I thought it looked great, and is my favorite viewing experience, thus far.

The way I see it, the 3D's not necessary, but no harm done in the excess! I'm not hating, but that whole third act IS over the top action, so why not!

Anyone who's seen it in IMAX 3D and regular 3D care to compare and contrast?

I HATE 3D 110%!!! I am a 2D kinda guy. So that will be the only way I see it.

imax 3D is highly recommended. it looks so much better and complete! u can appreciate all the emotion and expression more. and you can see more details.

10/10!!!

Regular 2D screening was definitely preferred for me over the three options.

Saw it in IMAX 3D and officially -- 3D D-Box is the way to go.
