How Old Were You When You First Started Posting On Superherohype Forums?

I think this would be interesting to see what the make up of the Hype was both back in the day and today. So... When you first started to be interested in world of super heroes and genre material at what age did you feel so consumed by it that you had to find a platform like to the Hype to express yourself on?

So like me you were in your late 30's or so?

I was a fan for most of my life.
It was back in late 2006 when I started to increase my attention to the source material of many of those characters, and felt really compelled to discuss them with others -mainly my favorite character in fiction; Spider-Man- back in 2007.

I joined the Hype early in the last quarter of 2010, and it was the third message board I joined to discuss these characters.

Less back then. I was an occasional poster off and on. When I got injured at work 6 years ago I was laid up in bed for a few months and started spending more time on the hype, and it just increased from there. 4 years ago I was injured again (not at work) and was laid up in bed for 6 months and spent even more time on the Hype. Now it's a daily thing. I usually keep the Hype open in a tab all day.

Was here during the spider-man hype days and started posting in 2002. I was 17 at the time. I even remember the hype of when this place was transitioning from going from spider-man hype to SHH. This place alongside, comics2film. Com, spider-man crawlspace, counting down. Com and the wizard magazine site were my go to places baaaaaack in the day.

Yea, I'd been about that old when I joined. I'd lurked in the Fan Art threads before joining, mainly Spider-Man.

I had no idea Marv. I had an incident in my life as well. I hope you were able to recover.

For the most part I recovered. The injuries were to my left arm, left shoulder, and left hand and wrist. I have nearly full movement thanks to physical therapy, but the tendons and ligaments in my wrist were nearly torn in two so they are permanently weakened, and holding anything with my hand palm-up causes a very uncomfortable ache in my wrist. I've got arthritis in that wrist as well and permanent nerve damage in my hand. Some parts of my index and thumb are numb. Other parts feel like hot needles are sticking them if pressure is applied.

In short, my left arm is a hot mess and has the worst luck.
