It was at the beginning of the year in 2014, so 24. I had been a lurker since the Batman Begins/Superman Returns days. I surprised it took me that long to join. I had always been into superheroes starting at a very young age, but I didn't get into comic books until about 2004/2005. I was 15 and the first book I read was Batman: Year One.

I enjoy coming to the Hype. It's where I get mostly all of my geek news and it's one of the first places I come to when I get online. It's nice to have a place to come to and talk about stuff with people who have similar interests as I do.

I apologize for the long post, but I hope I answered your question.

Edit: It's nice to see that there are many people on the Hype like me who are in their late 20's/early 30's. I just turned 27 last week.

I was 11 years younger than I am now when I first joined the Hype to start posting.

Though I was actually a lurker and visitor to the Hype for a good 4-5 years before I officially joined. My original Hype name was Super-Bats.

Back when I first started following the Hype, the site was called Spider-Man Hype and we were all gearing up for the 1st Raimi Spider-Man film.

So, the Hype has been a daily part of my life for a good 15-16 years now!!

And now here we are getting ready for yet another incarnation of film Spidey!!

12 or 13 maybe, I'm 27 now. I can remember the trailer for X-2 had been released, and I mistakenly thought Beast was in the film but it was Nightcrawler. I didn't post much, not until 2008.

August 2010. I was 21 (will be 28 on 3/27 so BvS is a wonderful bday gift!) when I joined, but lurked a few years prior and played around in the Superman Returns sandbox of disappointment. I really sparked myself into obsessive overdrive once it was official they were going to make Man of Steel. I think I signed up a few months before they announced that Zack Snyder would direct and I couldn't wait to talk about it and everything that was going to come next.
