How should Chris Kent die?

I didn't read many DC comics from that time, to be honest. I was really digging the stuff from right around the launch of Morrison's JLA straight through to the beginning of Infinite Crisis, myself. After IC, I haven't been enjoying much. It's slowly getting better, though.

I think the silver age injection was much needed. Although hypertime could have done it all without a crisis . :(

you go read the latest arc of superman with the crappy insect queen and the 90s art and tell me again that a silver age injection was needed. bet you cant do it with a straight face

I bet he could.

I don't think the Silver Age injection was needed at all, myself. And, even if it were, it could've been done in a better way than literally just undoing the CoIE and bringing back the actual Silver Age stuff.

The silver age was not the nineties.......

Well it's what you like in comics. I love Supes pulling powers out of his arse.

Yeah, I grew up post-CoIE. Plus, several of my personal favorite characters are ones that got ****ed over worst post-IC, so that's where a lot of my disdain for the comics comes from. I was enjoying the hell out of Rucka's development of Superman in AoS, Batgirl's evolution in her title, Captain Atom's romp through the Wildstorm universe, etc. All of that got undone, unfortunately.

I dont want to see Superman pulling nothing out of his "arse".....much less in a comic book where there's the potential to be sprawled across a centre page :(

Not a good look....

That's why Hypertime would have been great, we could have had it all! I could have had the great darkness saga back. You could have kept the good stories you mention.

What if he could make explosive Super-poop?

:wow:It would sell comics and might require a second black poly bag, just like death of Supes had.

I have to agree the way Rucka was handling Lois and Superman wanting kids was great and he was actually going to have it be Lois and Superman's child. I like Chris Kent and all but I feel he is under used because they are waiting for the final part of Last Son to come out before really using him.

The silver age had as many good stories as bad imo, just like now.
i didnt say the silver age was piss poor, i said the story was. and lets face it, any story told in like a silver age story TODAY is going to come across piss poor. using silver age concepts as a spring board could have been cool but i havent seen much of it actually being cool in practice (though i will concede the murder mystery with the batman wannabes was interesting, plus im digging the hell out of the grown up version of the silver age legion in action).

no you wouldnt. have you read All Star Supes yet? its freaking brilliant.

He writes with this maniac pace, that goes in and out and is frantic and he'll pull some random Silver Age-esque stuff. Sometimes its good, sometimes its bad put very much his thing. I mean he's Scottish, whaddya want?

his batman has been eh but his all star supes has been him on top of his form. if quietly could draw more than a page a week id say put that team on an in continuity book
