Justice League How would you feel about John Stewart amd Wally West instead of Hal and Barry?

ok ok on a serious note....I want to see Kyle Rayner get some love, John had the animated show, Hal got multiple movies (both animated and live action) and a TV show, lets get Kyle already, Guy Gardner has guest appeared on The Batman and I think Young Justice, Kyle has been animated for maybe 10 seconds so come on

Possible references? Either something was referenced or it wasn't. If you're talking about the STAR Labs, then no, Cyborg wasn't referenced, any more than he is referenced any other time Superman goes to STAR Labs for help/science.

Now, it's possible that they are doing the New 52 thing, but right now... it remains to be seen.

Im keeping my finger crossed tat they arent doing the new 52 line up. But I think the way theyve advertising it I'd be surprised if they dont

At the end of the day, Barry should be Flash. If I was to do Barry, I would make him more Spider-Manish with giving him brains and having him crack a joke. The GA recognizes Flash as the funny member via JL and Young Justice animated series & animated movies. Giving Barry a bit of the sense of humor Wally has isn't bad.

It's also best to have John Stewart. John IS the most popular JL due to the animated series. He's been known to the GA for 12 years. Not sure if y'all read the article on IGN stating why John should be the GL for the DCCU. One reason is that the target audience, 18-24, is the same audience who watched JL cartoon and that target age was 8-12. They recognize John. Another reason is it was said one reason Will Beall's script sucked was because Hal and Barry were too similar. They tried to make them both funny and you should only have one funny guy. If you watch YJ and the Justice League animated movies, Hal is much more serious. If your gonna go serious, why not go John? I've always seen the GL Corps as the X-Men to DC. Make John the Wolverine and Hal the Cyclops. Wolverine & Spider-Man does have a good relationship.

Those are the partnerships I want in order of preference. They were designed to interact in certain ways, hence every Flash has had their own GL buddy (albeit Bart's was via DCAU).

Choose John & stack the odds in the film's favor as much as possible. Some of Hal's comic fans will be pissed for a bit, but it won't matter and they'll probably feel better if the flim's good & John's good in it

The thing for me is I would consider myself a comic fan but I didn't know of Hal till 2011. I didn't begin really reading comics until late 2011ish when the New 52 began. That got me back in and I've read a lot over the years. The thing for me is this, I was 8 when JL began and I'm 20 now. I've been on some sites that say you know Hal is the best Lantern of the main one. To comics fans yes but to the GA no. You can't tell someone you grow up with John for 12 years to like Hal or be a fan of his. That's not fair.

Hell I have a friend who isn't a huge comic fan but watched JL growing up and he said Green Lantern John is his favorite hero and John is one of mine too. My friend is black and I'm white but that just shows people of all races grew up and loved John. You can't keep pressing Hal on people when they were use to John. People don't like change like that.

I have began writing my own script for a John Stewart GL film. The thing about John is his background and story has never been told and it gives you freedom. He was from Detroit in the comics but I'm changing it to Harlem New York mainly because that is a large Africa American community but also because it's a very artistic city with the poets and artists and musicans of the Harlem Renaissance so it would be a cool place to have a GL from but more important to have John from. I also have it more spaceish and have Lobo, Mongul, and the Manhunters as the villains. Kilowag is John's mentor mostly because Kilowag is my second favorite Lantern.

That would be my dream. But then again I think the DCAU is the "real" one for me and that's after reading comics for over 40 years.

Voted Hal and Barry. John and Wally sounds don't really have much of a relationship outside of JL/JLU. Funny enough, Wally's GL pal was Hal. Wish that was an option, cus I probably would've picked it.

Kyle Rayner was really more Wally's GL pal in the comics after Hal went bonkers during his Parallax phase, and I would like to see the vitriolic best buds dynamic Wally and Kyle had brought to life, but I have a feeling that won't be happening any time soon.

Yeah, me too. Wally/Kyle was one of the highlights of JLA back then. But you're right, there was more Wally/Kyle than Wally/Hal.

I really wish DC would put Kyle and Wally into one of these new animated flicks. It would be nice for hardcore comic readers and helpful for non-print fans to see the GLC and Flash Dynasty working together on film. They wouldn't even have to replace Hal and Barry, but they could be presented alongside them.

That would be awesome - sadly it doesn't seem likely to happen.

I have a feeling Wally can't come back into the spotlight until management changes at DC. Till then we're stuck with Barry.

The costume looks bad. it should be Hellboy with a GL suit and a mask, that's all he needs, not the trenchcoat.I'd def read this tho
