Supergirl How would you move Supergirl into the main CWverse?

You aren't listening. Supergirl being on CBS had absolutely NOTHING to do with it not being set in the same reality as Arrow, Flash, etc.

You also have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to integrating the two universes, because they are fundamentally different, necessitating the complete erasure of one in order for the inhabitants thereof to exist on the other.

You cannot retroactively insert the history of "Earth-S" into Earth-1 - or vice versa - without fundamentally altering what has come before.

Yes you can. It's not that hard. Aliens weren't even known to have existed by the Supergirl Pilot. Throwing the Supergirl world into it doesn't have to change much of anything but the Flash/Supergirl crossover. The existence of Superman and Supergirl doesn't have to change anything for the flarrowverse. Have a very great day!

I'd love to see the Superverse become part of Earth 1, or vice-versa. It would allow this crossover of heroes and villains that we are all clamoring for. But it would come with too many hurdles, not the least of which is the producers and writers of each show being told that all they've done and how they've progressed their characters over the years is now null and void because 'They' want to neuter the multiverse.

These are all separate shows and the crossovers are only small events within each series. Though I would love it, they are not going to meld them all into one Super Show that runs five nights long.

They could literally just do a Crisis event that ends with Earth-Supergirl's National City getting plopped onto some empty space on Earth-1.

That's how Central and Keystone ended up as twin cities in the comics. Before Crisis on Inifinite Earths they occupied the same physical space on two separate earths, but afterwards they were just neighbors.

That way all the characters come over as who they were on Supergirl. Winn, James, Kara, Cat, Alex, Max, whatever villains happen to be there at the time, etc.

You don't lose anything from before the Crisis. All the events that happened to all the characters on both worlds will still have happened. It's just that National City is on the other earth now.

This is a multiverse that includes magic, reviving the dead, psychic super genius gorillas, time travel, interdimensional travel, aliens, bioengineered super soldiers, super advanced technology, and all sorts of ridiculous super powers.

Would it really be so strange for one city to hop from one dimension to the next in some sort of comic book shenanigans? It's not even unprecedented in the history of DC Comics.

Everything that happened to Supergirl still happened to her... on the other earth.

It's essentially just picking up National City, as-is, and moving it to Earth-1.

The people of Earth-1 would be aware that the city came from an alternate reality. The people of National City would know that they were in a new reality.

The people of Earth-1 would be introduced to Supergirl for the first time. The people of National City would be living on Earth-1 with full memory of events from the other earth.

Time travel rules are extremely inconsistent to begin with in the Arrowverse. Sometimes when Barry travels through time he inhabits his past body, sometimes he can physically encounter his former self. Sometimes the effects of time travel are immediately discernable, sometimes it takes longer for them to "take hold" on Legends.

Sometimes it's Terminator rules, sometimes it's Back to the Future rules, sometimes it makes no sense from either perspective.

Flash/Rip/Kara did some timey wimey shenanigans. That's really all you need to explain away time travel inconsistencies.

The entire motivation for the Time Masters refusing to sanction Rip's mission to take out Vandal Savage - and the entire motivation for why he does what he does in the first place - is that Earth faces invasion from the Thanagarians. If you merge Earth-1 with "Earth-S" and introduce the world to aliens in the form of Kara, Clark, J'onn, etc., you end up completely de-canonizing the final few episodes of Legends, which makes them pointless.

This isn't a matter of "time travel rules"; it's a matter of internal chronological consistency.

The Crisis event slightly alters the timeline. That was the point of Rip and the gang travelling through time in the first place -- to change the future. It would only make sense that Rip and the Legends being successful in changing the timeline would alter the events that took place after the point at which they started their mission.

Events would have been changed starting from the point at which the Legends originally left. At some point after their mission was completed, the Crisis happens and further changes the timeline.

It doesn't de-canonize anything about Legends.

And keep in mind, LoT will be gearing up at some point for the Thanagarians. It could be seen as a great thing to have friendly, super powered aliens on your side when they do. And since they are now basically the Time Masters, they might turn a blind eyes to some time-travel hijinx and inter-dimensional city-jumping.

I was against the idea but then remembered what happened after Crisis on Infinite Earths and what happened with the New 52. I guess in my head I assumed a merger would remove Superman from the universe but in actuality it would probably mean he exists in the Arrowverse.

The "Arrowverse" refers to the whole multiverse. Earth 1, Earth 2, Earth 3, Supergirl's Earth, 90s Flash's Earth, etc.

What's being discussed is moving Supergirl onto Earth 1. Her Earth is already part of the Arrowverse.
