How is Hulk outselling The Incredible Hulks? I read both, and the Hulk comic is good but this is very surprising to me.
Hulk is good, but I'm not sure it's better than what Pak has been giving us. And the art on the two books is equal IMO. It's just hard to believe that Ross stars in his own title... He's an old man and villain, with no rogues/enemies. And TIH supporting cast is established, and infinitely better RULK's. Plus, RULK is a rip off of the Hulk, and inferior as well. Bruce Banner and the real hulk are better characters/hero's.
I hope eventually "Rulk" will end up becoming an enemy again, the REAL Hulk can always use some great villains and Rulk fits that bill IMO.
The Incredible Hulks really needs to start selling better, I'd like to see it in top 30 consistantly.
The Incredible Hulks is ending anyways, so there's not much time for improvement in sales. If anything it shows that Rulk might actually have some staying power, even after Loeb has left the book. Parker is actually doing a decent job with Rulk, which I didn't think anybody could do.
Yup, it also marks the end of Greg Pak's run on the title. Sucks.
Its not like it's gonna get relaunched witha brand new #1 or anything...
I thought they were changing the title back to "the Incredible Hulk" (singular) after Pak's exit?
It seems like the only reason there is a general concern that Hulk is selling better than IHs is because you all seem to dislike Red Hulk himself.
Hulk isn't really a bad read now. Its far more serious than IH. IH is much more fun, and the stories are really using this "not dumb" Hulk to his fullest, considering how Marvel loves to regress him back to dumb Hulk at the drop of a dime.
