How is Hulk outselling The Incredible Hulks? I read both, and the Hulk comic is good but this is very surprising to me.

:bh:

Hulk is the better book, so it's just a reflection of quality.

Hulk is good, but I'm not sure it's better than what Pak has been giving us. And the art on the two books is equal IMO. It's just hard to believe that Ross stars in his own title... He's an old man and villain, with no rogues/enemies. And TIH supporting cast is established, and infinitely better RULK's. Plus, RULK is a rip off of the Hulk, and inferior as well. Bruce Banner and the real hulk are better characters/hero's.

I hope eventually "Rulk" will end up becoming an enemy again, the REAL Hulk can always use some great villains and Rulk fits that bill IMO.

The Incredible Hulks really needs to start selling better, I'd like to see it in top 30 consistantly.

The Incredible Hulks is ending anyways, so there's not much time for improvement in sales. If anything it shows that Rulk might actually have some staying power, even after Loeb has left the book. Parker is actually doing a decent job with Rulk, which I didn't think anybody could do.

Red Hulk actually is more inline with the lone hero/monster that Hulk is all about. With him rarely going back to Ross the dynamic is different becauses its no longer

Man(Banner) vs beast(Hulk), its all an internal conflict with perception. Ross is in full control but now he offers the perspective if now being the hunted as oppose to the hunter. He also is able to redefine his views. Essentially Red Hulk is actually able grow and change and its very clear that it must happen. Gives much more incentive to read.

Banner right now is also interesting but now I guess its his experiences since the depowerment and getting his powers back. Do I really like the character development that Betty who we thought was dead turned into a violent ****. You just can't feel sympathy for her. At least when Hulk lashed out there was a reason. This was also a reason why I found RULK to be terrible prior to the HULK run. There seemed to be no reason for what he did(especially with the reveal of him being Rorss). Abom...whats his development. He's got new powers but has yet to show any concern for his new form. She Hulk has long since accepted who she is. Banners Kids show more desired character development. Right now Banner is trying to get his love life under control and this weird idea that his family needs help.......

She-Hulk -> Known superhero and can actually go back to human form at will
Skaar-> Seems to have more daddy issues then something a god can fix
She-Hulk 2 -> Seems to be fine given the situation + able to return to human form if she chose
Abom-> What his issue again
Hulks alien friends-> Are aliens from another planet
Red She Hulk-> ****e

Since he beat his foes a while back, his stories just seem unimportant because it comes off to me as pointless problems. The mutants on the planet have problems. Banner has viable options but him *****ing about aint helping.

Finally Banner has a unique control that hasn't been fully explored. They say its a compromise of the minds of Banner and Hulk for control(allowing instant change).........well they need to explore that. I think they missed a huge opportunity to have a father son comic with a "human Skaar" and Banner at full power. Banner learning to be a real father would have been a good read. Banner having lady issues is boring given his kids and ease of actually getting a chick(really the man has wolverine magnetism).

Ross IMO has never been a true villain mainly because at the end of the day all of his loyalty lies with his daughter, and I think it's cool having his character explored as much as it has.plus his villains are awesome and really interesting.

The last three to four issues have been dedicated to introducing a rogues gallery for the Red Hulk. Honestly, I love the Hulk book and it's good that it's sales are doing pretty good. It's got great writing and the artwork by Gabriel Hardman is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! :wow: The art alone is worth the price of admission.

I honestly hope The Red Hulk gets killed, same with Red She Hulk. I had to stop reading The Incredible Hulk book cause now there's like 5 different Hulks running around and they all just cheapen the original Hulk and make reading the book pointless now...

so you want them to kill Betty Ross the greatest love of the Hulk?

Really? Didn't know this.

Yup, it also marks the end of Greg Pak's run on the title. Sucks.

Its not like it's gonna get relaunched witha brand new #1 or anything...:whatever:

I thought they were changing the title back to "the Incredible Hulk" (singular) after Pak's exit?

they may, but that dosent change the fact that they're cancelling the book when Pak's done.

I am not liking the Rulk book and I especially do not like them calling it "Hulk".

It seems like the only reason there is a general concern that Hulk is selling better than IHs is because you all seem to dislike Red Hulk himself.

Hulk isn't really a bad read now. Its far more serious than IH. IH is much more fun, and the stories are really using this "not dumb" Hulk to his fullest, considering how Marvel loves to regress him back to dumb Hulk at the drop of a dime.

I'm pretty sure that they're waiting around end of Fear Itself to relaunch Incredible Hulk with a brand new #1 issue.
