I honestly don’t know that the writers care about Hulk or his arc based on what I read. They were adamant that hulk is no match for Thanos even without the glove, but we have read otherwise in the comics. Thanos has said he avoids conflict with the Hulk, but according to the writers this isn’t even up for debate.

Just reading their statements on the matter makes me think they haven’t even looked into any history between the two characters, just a plot device for the movie to put Thanos over. That’s really discouraging to read, knowing that the character is in the hands of people who could care less. Smh

Yep, my thoughts exactly. For me, he should lose to Thanos, but then him hiding the rest of the movie was incredibly frustrating.

It’s not the loss to Thanos that bothers me. It’s hearing the writers talk that disturbs me. The ending of the Hulk arc that’s being rumored is basically not a true ending, but rather a bigger problem. But we shall see, no sense in gripping about something that has not occurred and only rumor at this point.

Honestly, I still want an all Ruffalo/Hulk movie and I think Taika Waititi would do a good job at it. I enjoyed Ragnaroks Hulk.

Yeah, but just looking at that hulk busting out of hulk buster toy and hearing the hulk speak along with reading feedback from the early trailer to the next movie , it just leaves me a little deflated. Of course I have not seen it and it could work out to be great, but at this point I would rather have the world breaker incarnation than what we appear set to get. I mean Thor is freaking all powerful now and yet we still have this weakened version of the hulk running around. It’s just you would think that if DC finally got Superman’s power level correct and Marvel nailed Thor, you would at least like to see a Hulk that’s equal to the task.. But oh well we will see.

I'm not personally obsessed with everyone getting moving planets/lifting mountains type feats. I just want the story to feel natural. The geek out moments will come with proper story. Hulk will get his moment. They purposefully do not give him it in this movie so the payoff and end of his arc will be more epic and feel right. I trust Marvel.

That seems to be the sum of the disappointments 'he's not powerful enough' and I'm not obsessed with that stuff either.

I found the idea of Banner bravely still going into battle without the aid of his persona underscored the point that the arc is leaning to which is one of coexistence.

I found the idea of banner supposedly a brilliant scientist being played for laughs for the second time disheartening. I think there is a way to show that without making banner a joke. Stark did it in iron man 3. Even without the armor he was formidable. We have seen Banner do the same thing in other forms of media.

I get where the arc is going, I simply hope the payoff is worth the painful journey.

Its not really about the omg moments that im wanting, just wish they would give him his most important ability. The ability to increase his strength with rage and his durability. That’s what makes him who he is. Other incarnations do not have that, but the green savage hulk is based on that ability .

I actually really like the article posted by screen rant. It pretty much nails who he is and what marvel cinematic universe have got wrong in the previous 3 films.

I was insanely hyped when they set him up in Incredible Hulk (Perhaps the most underrated comic book film ever, I really like that movie). But here we are 10 years later with no follow up. I'm sure Marvel is waiting to finally be allowed to make a Hulk solo film again to use him. Get your s*** together, Universal.

I agree, but honestly don’t think we will see another Hulk solo movie. I hope I’m wrong, but it doesn’t look good. I would love to see the leader in a movie. Brain vs brawn . I loved the comic run Incredible Hulk 344-345!! That would be epic to see on film.

I came across another good article on the hulk. It’s crazy how everyone knows the simple rules to hulk except the marvel cinematic universe. That’s just mind boggling to me.

I wanted a Planet Hulk film not the half baked stuff we got in Thor 3. Marvel trying to sneak in Hulk story lines and characters into the big Marvel team up films.Its kinda sad.
