:lmao:

Seriously though. Is she throw out a airplane and caught by Chance ? :awesome:

I think last night's episode is now my favorite. Great stuff all around...I agree with some of the comments about Baptiste, he was awesome and made a good foe for Chance. There's really nothing negative to say about this show after all the episodes that've aired so far. It just keeps delivering every week. Can't wait for the next ep.

Got to wonder, if Baptiste is that bad***, how bad*** is the one the trained the both of them? I hope they cast someone amazing for the role. This show just gets better and better. Another very good episode last night. One of my favorites so far.

My problem is that next week they are moving onto another stock TV plot with the underground fighting/cage fighting thing.

The reason I don't like it because MMA and cage fighting isn't like this anymore. It's an actual mainstream sport. And I'm highly disappointed that Hollywood still presents it this way. At this illegal underground cagefighting stuff. Why can't we see MMA portrayed as an actual legitimate sport on screen?

The short-lived new NBC Knight Rider series also did this same storyline. Keen Eddie did this storyline. Even Bones has done it.

Guessing he's a fan of it?

Is it me, or does Grace Park look like she wanted to play Roulette, the tattooed chick from the JSA comics and JLU cartoon.

The show did 7.9 million viewers this week which was a little more than last week. However, the show is doing VERY well in the coveted 18-34 demographic. I hope that's enough to keep it going for a while.

You do, every time you watch an MMA match. I don't see a problem with a fictional TV show doing an underground fighting episode. I would never have even connected it to MMA if you hadn't mentioned it because, as you said, MMA is a legitimate sport. "Underground fighting" means stuff like paying bums to fight for snuff films to me.

Anyway, "Baptiste" is my new favorite episode. I hope Layla sticks around. She and Guerrero had a good back-and-forth chemistry. And Lennie James should totally be starring in a show himself. Between this and his recent appearance on Lie to Me, he's becoming a favorite of mine.

Didn't realize he was English until that Lie to me episode. Totally forgot about him from Snatch.

I think that's good enough to warrant a second season. At least I hope...

Baptiste hopefully will return in a future ep. That little tussle he and Chance had in the climax was very cool. :word:

TheCorpulent1, the way "cage fighting" or "MMA" is generally portrayed in narrative storytelling like next week for Human Target is sort of the view of MMA that its critics use to continue banning the sport, not letting it be regulated to boost state economies. That it's an underground and illegal bloodsport.

My opinion is when we see a TV show like this, it portrays MMA in this way rather than showing MMA as a professional sport with professional sport athletes which is what it is now. And I feel that MMA has gotten past this, but no one wants to make a sports movie or TV themed episode showing MMA as an actual sport that's broadcast, regulated, and has rules not these TO THE DEATH cage matches. Movies like Fighting and Never Back Down use MMA but they still portray it being shown in underground and illegitimate outlets rather than the professional and regulated outlet it currently is. That's it.

It won't ruin the show for me. I was just like, oh well there it is again.

I thought he was great and will show up again sometime. All the scenes he had with Valley were dynamite. Their fight sequence was awesome, really felt like they wanted to tear each other apart.

This week's episode is easily the best for me. It's nice to get some insight into where Chance has been in his life. The relationship between him and Baptiste was really great to see. I also liked seeing Guerrero show a little vulnerability. This guy is like a bad-ass with no weaknesses, but Baptiste really showed him that he's no as untouchable as he thinks.

Guerrero and Layla made a great pair as well. What he told her at the end is a very good way to show growth with someone new on a team. Instead of giving high fives and fun stuff, he pretty much told her that she has to temper her emotions if she wants to last long. It showed that he cared too.

This episode was about a 9.7/10 for me. It's like they got everything right with this one. I can't wait for the return of Baptiste, and the epic confrontation of Chance and his old "boss."

I really want to see this mysterious boss. I imagine that'll be the season finale.

Woulda been nice if it turned out to be David Carradine, but hanging himself while tranny hookers knock his junk around finally caught up to him. :(

Alas. :csad:

It should totally be an awesome, cheesy action movie/TV actor though. Like Michael Ironside or Peter Weller.

I assume you already know Carradine had a guest spot playing someone from Chance's past on the previous Human Target series?

I don't think we'll get to see Chance's old "boss" this season. We may find out who he is, but I have a feeling they're going to keep us on edge to come back for another season. Just a hunch I had earlier.

I hope they don't give too much away at the end of the season, kind of like Burn Notice.

Also here is another thing I like about the show. I don't find the show dumb or stupid at all. Yes its an action adventure show and there are some exaggerated stunts at times. But overall it seems to handle all the elements very well. I'm hesitant to call it intelligent, but I find that the show refreshingly never insults the audience's intelligence as IMHO 24 has done far too often over the last 8 years. It also never takes anything for granted either. It seems to address all the "problems" that are generally inherent in action adventure shows. Like when I watch an action show or movie I think, WELL HOW COULD THAT HAVE HAPPENED BECAUSE OF THAT! Human Target seems to come up with clever answers to these types of questions. Case in point, the way Chance is able to generally stay undercover and incognito in government buildings, and the way they escaped that security company building's lobby (Chance planted a stun grenade or something in the water cooler and had a detonator).

So I wouldn't call it a smart show, but it's at times a very clever show.

i've only found one bit to be over the top in the show.... and that was Chance sliding down the gondola cables with a bit of chain.....

The only problem I had was Chance landing on a two foot ledge ofter a skydiving freefall.

that was a bit crazy.... but i guess it's possible if ur good enough?

That's what makes this ep the best one thus far. I personally was getting a little worn with Guerrero's tough guy schtick (it just makes him not that interesting after awhile IMO) and at least for a brief moment, he's humbled & humanized by Baptiste who's probably more dangerous than either he or Chance.

Guerrero's expression said it all in that couple of seconds. A+ Ep!
