No, but with Brett Ratner in charge, there is.
DAMN, FOX gets $$$ from any sequels....those bastards.
With Snyder in charge is there really any chance of there being any sequels?
Fox will not be a co-distributor on the film, nor will it own a piece of the Watchmen property going forward.![]()
There can't possibly be a sequel for this...no way.
If Snyder is running the entire gauntlet of the book and leaning it out into a single film, then that's it. There won't be any more story to tell.

Now there are three more hurdles...
1. Is it good
2. Will it be a blockbuster
3. If it IS as good as it could be, will the academy recognize it.
good they've finally settled it, although that must be quite a sizable amount that WB had to hand over since Fox gave up pretty much everything other than a slice of the profits.
but honestly i still feel a little crummy that Fox' plan to (essentially) exhort money out of WB worked.![]()
So it's all sorted now? Sweet.
Now all WB need to do is sue Gordon
"Rodney you plonker!!"
Best Picture and Best Director is still up in the air, but Heath is going to win Best Supporting Actor. You can take that to the bank.Probably will only be recognized for visual effects if anything. People forget that the Academy hates big budget comic movies. I wouldnt be surprised if TDK walks away empty handed from the Oscars...
And of course, I went "Noooooooooo!" with the mention of sequels or spinoffs.
But nobody's made a move to make a sequel/spinoff to 300, so there's that...
No wait, someone on Deadline Hollywood Daily just mentioned a 300 spinoff thingie.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
