Human Target

Just saw the season finale as well.. Please Fox don't cancel this one, give the fans a second season (20 episodes please). It be a shame to cancel the show with that season finale ending.. :woot:

If Fox doesn't renew Human Target, I will have a conniption on this forum and probably get myself arrested for doing an organized march in front of the Fox building.

How is everyone getting the finale three days early?!?!

I think it airs somewhere on Sunday, then America Wednesday...

It's like Joe Rogan says KenK, you can't stop the Internet.

But I do agree, Human Target does deserve to get renewed, especially with the departure of 24. That's a sizable amount of cash Fox won't be spending, and while I'm sure they're looking to develop new shows. they should be able to give Human Target a shot a being one of their more viable series.

Human Target is like the premiere action adventure show on TV right now. That's reason enough to renew.

Well I couldn't wait so I went ahead and watched the season finale already and HOLY CRAP IN A HAT!:

-So much win in this episode. Armande Assante! Lee Majors! Lassie from Psyche! Puppy Carmine!

-I'm glad we finally got to see Guerrero fight for the first time. Definitely one of the best short little fight scenes in the series so far. This one was more like your typical Bourne Identity fight though.

-My only caveat is that it seemed like things happened too quickly with Katherine and Chance in this episode. I think she bought into him too easily. But it's narrative fiction, what can you do.

-Valley is such an incredible actor. Really did some intense and subtle stuff in this episode with his eyes. I really got the sense of his being tired of what he was doing and wanting to change.

-All the stuff with Baptiste was really good. What the guy who does Baptiste plays really well is that he's the little brother trying to impress and yearn for attention from his older brother. I liked all those moments where he was trying to say to the Old Man that no we can fix this with Chance.

-I almost can't buy Katherine's death like that. Refuse to buy it. I bet you she will be back sooner or later. I also wonder if the side Katherine is on is truly good and innocent. Think about it, what if Katherine did come back and turn out to be some double agent that was also playing Chance to get the book? What if it turns out that everything Chance built his current life on was a lie?

-The ending with Chance and Winston was great. If the writers don't admit it, I'll just say it right now. Chance and Winston is a total ripoff of Spike and Jet from Cowboy Bebop. It's basically exactly the same. This episode was basically how Spike and Jet got together even though all that was implied in the anime but never shown. I'm ok with the ripoff because more people need to steal from Cowboy Bebop anyway.

-Unanswered questions: Was Lassie and his people who hired Guerrero and that other blueblood in the earlier episode? Was Katherine the first client that "got ugly"?

-If not to the above, the good news it that IF IF IF there's a second season and they wrap the book/Old Man/Lassie storyline up, they have their other ongoing arc, that of Winston and Chance's first case together and how they screwed up and who is looking for Chance. It could be Katherine's family or it could be something else entirely. Baptiste didn't seem to know unless Baptiste was lying and knew it was Lassie and his org.

-There better be a second season. If not, I will turn into Deadpool and form a Deadpool Corp. of insanity.

Season finale tonight! I really hope it gets picked up for next year. Can't wait.

All i'll say is that it's a damn fine episode.... and you'll all enjoy it

Aesop Rocks, the first season was only 12 episodes.

Hopefully it will get renewed and season 2 will be a little longer.

Again, 24 is going away so this is a great opportunity for Fox TV to MAN UP DAWG and push this show more.

I hope there's another season, I love this show

Ditto. One of my favorite shows on TV right now.

It takes so little to make me happy.

And this show is waaaaaaaay past that. :awesome:

Love this show!

One thing I thought was cool is how the name Christopher Chance gets passed down from bodyguard to bodyguard but I think it would have been more appropriate to have had the character of Christopher Chance portrayed by Lee Majors played by Rick Springfield seeing that he truly was the last Christopher Chance.

I think that would've been neat, but I doubt they wanted to tie this show into that older show which was short-lived (hopefully this one won't but, but it's on the bubble at the moment).

The show wins its timeslot whenever its on. It's got great potential. Just give it a second season and a bigger push now that 24 is gone.

Is Katherine a character from the comic? Is it possible she's playing a Keyser Soze-ish role to get the book and she staged her own apparent death?

Lee Majors is freakin' awesome.

NO! Not the Bionic Man!!! :(

Great stuff, and there damn well better be a second season now.

When the chopper took off and the music started, did anyone else get an Empire Strikes back ending vibe? It didn't for me at first, but then the way the music started reminded me of the ending music to Empire. And then you had Guerrero watching the chopper like Luke and Leia watched the Faclon...weird thing to think of.

6 Million Dollar Man please! :oldrazz:

YES!!!! so glad it wasn't only me, although I saw the chopper flying off being watched by Guerrero more as Leia and Lando watching Boba Fett fly off with Han in the Slave 1.

I got the Fett vibe too.

And I realized I said Bionic instead of 6 Million Dollar after posting, but was too lazy to fix it (and yet not too lazy to write this :p) Oddly enough, I wasn't thinking of the Bionic Woman at all, just that he was a bionic man.

He'll always be Colt Seavers to me anyway. :D

I basically want to own Bear McCrary's soundtrack for this show. He really unleashed his inner-John Williams with the last episode. I also totally got the Empire Strikes Back vibe with the music as well. Ending very similar to Empire as well ;) .
