Has anyone seen the ads for this? It's being promoted like hell in the UK just now and I'm seeing it everywhere. I believe it's based on the Swedish TV show Real Humans.

Starts June 14th on Channel 4 and June 28th on AMC.

Watched the first episode from the Channel Four airing. Interesting so far. I hadn't looked at the cast so I was happy to see Colin Morgan. I'll definitely continue watching.

I'm tempted to watch again when it airs on AMC. I've only ever watched one Channel 4 show (Indian Summers) so I'm not sure if they change things like BBC shows sometimes do when they air in the US and when US shows air on BBC.

You should check out Channel 4 show Utopia. That show was awesome.

It doesn't have a cliffhanger ending although a couple plotlines were left open for if it came back for another season. Without going in spoiler territory, things sort of come full circle.

I think he implied that he is the creator's actual son.

Maybe he's partial? He does bleed what appears to be real blood. Unless he is an extremely disguised version by the creator himself...downloaded his real son into it, or something.

I started watching Humans on AMC over here in the US, so I went to check out the Swedish version it is based on. After 4 episodes of the US/UK one and about 6 of the original, I can honestly say the original Swedish version is much better so far. The only thing I like better in the US/UK version is William Hurt's character and the US/UK Anita (Gemma Chan) just a bit more. The original is much darker and adult with a lot of nudity, it also establishes the backstory of Leo and the free synths/hubots much clearer and quicker. Most importantly, the Swedish family is much more tolerable than the unlikable UK family, especially the mother and daughter. I normally don't do subtitles, but Swedish sees to translate over to English pretty well.

I've heard many people say the Swedish version is better. I will probably check out the Swedish original when I have the time.

Liked how Mattie defended the Synth from rape. I mean she wouldn't feel anything but it's still sick for those teens to rape an android.
