I love alot of Jim Lee's work but doesn't anyone else think all his characters look abit... samey? I mean everyone seems to have the same beefy build the same hairstyle etc plus his Harvey Dent and Lex Luthor were near enough identical!

There are differences just you won't notice them if you glance at it quick. Differences are the noises, cheeks/cheekbones, chins, etc (stuff like that).

You've never read Hush before?

Some of the single issues but not really in order I own like three but random ones?

Oh. Well, I loved it. I really don't see why some people disliked it.

I wouldn't know, how many issues is it completely?

I don't remember...cause I have the Absolute copy...all of them in one huge book with bigger pages, interviews, a few concept art, cover art, the interlude issue which never was printed, etc.

I am guessing it would be 6 issues in the first volume and 7 in the second volume.

No problem. Really, Hush is the main reason I finally got into reading the actual Batman comics. Batman Begins also helped that little umph I needed to start reading them too.

I have always been a fan since I was a little kid so I knew a lot of information (so I know a lot of background info. on characters and supporting characters) but never really read the comics. After Hush I got my hands on a crapload of old comics and have been keeping up with Batman comics ever since. With my crazy resources I have read a crapload of Batman comics. The ones I haven't read I know stuff about or just havent gotten to yet. Been a while since I've hunted down some old issues though.

The lame reasons I heard from people for not liking Hush were:

- Haters of Jim Lee's art...bull**** reason if you ask me to say the story as a whole sucked.
- Don't like it how Loeb always uses a crapload of villains and characters. In TLH and DV...the time period was like a year's time so that made sense. And in Hush each villain played their part so weren't just thrown in.
- Felt the mystery behind it was too obvious which isn't true at all. Numerous times reading the story I questioned who Hush was.

Stupid reasons like that is what I've heard for people not liking Hush.

I love hush the character tommy elliot sad orphan turned evil strategist villian.

Too bad the story arc Hush Returns completely ruined the character Hush. :(

didn't rad that either. don't really read batmna but might start, this or robin.

I love this book. Probably the most influential comic book in MY life.

I was at a comic store today and was very tempted to buy the Hush action figure. What stopped be was that I didn't want to get it because then I would be tempted to buy the other action figures of that series. Same goes with the TLH toys I saw. :(

me I would end up just getting hush and maybe robin or batman?

There is no Robin toy I believe. I don't recall ever hearing or seeing one on a site or at a store.

Hush was basically a 'who's who' of Batman characters. It looked great, but it's just not a good story.

I got them a few days ago. Overall I really enjoyed it, but I feel that toward the end it got kind of convoluted...I love the tone that Jeph Loeb sets in his writing and Jim Lee's art is amazing. Thumb's up overall.

I thought Hush was a well crafted story from Jeph Loeb, however it wasn't his best Batman story. Some would have rather seen Tim Sale as the artist than Jim Lee since Loeb and Sale work so well together. IMO, The Long Halloween and Dark Victory are superior than Hush.

I agree with you completely. It was a good story but TLH and DV are superior. I loved Lee's art but I'm just curious what it would have looked like if Sale drew it.

Very disapointing, I was expecting something on par with TLH and DV from Loeb. The story felt contrived and rushed, I know it was all basically a vehicle for Lee's art but heck you can still put some effort into the story. I hated Killer Croc and Ivy in there. No suspense, no sense of drama even between Bruce and Selina and I don't buy the explanation that the Hush character was 'jealous of Bruce'.

There were two things I really liked however. Riddler is finally a threatening villain. And the return of Jason Todd...who was actually Clayface. But not really. Effin hell.

Otherwise Jim Lee's art is boring and unimaginative and very, very cheesy. 1990's spandex wank is what it is. He didn't add anything new the the designs, didn't create a mood to the story and things like the Star Trek Batcave were way over the top. Nothing redeeming in the art expect for the colouring.

I'm not the biggest fan of Hush. The art is way too speicific for Batman and the story is just meh, more of an excuse to introduce a new villain. But I don't hate it. It takes alot to make me hate a Batman story. But lately DC has been doing a very good job. I haven't read any recent Batman comics but from what I hear he's not an ******* anymore. Not. Happy. Jan.
