Jerry Jones has his bi-weekly interview or something?

How come fans don't call him and tell him to hire a real GM?

And you know...let his HC, coach?

Oh they do....those calls just don't go on air....there are all kinds of things said to Jerry that never make the light of day.

In all honesty his contrtolling of everything is what holds them back.

Here's to hoping he keeps it up. I love watching the Cowboys' annual epic collapse. It's the one thing I can always count on, except of course during those seasons where they just suck the whole year long.

Reports out there 2 prominent names to be releaded on friday are Michael Vick and the Titans Chris Johnson.

Whoa, really? Vick I was expecting but not CJ2Yards. I guess they finally decided he's never going to be the player he was before they gave him a buttload of money.

Rams grab Titus Young, hell if they don't sign Jackson and the Titans cut Johnson I could see them grabbing him!

Mike Florio talks about free agency, Joe Flacco and the QB situation of the off-season on the Dan Patrick Show.

Florio makes a really good point about Alex Smith. He shopped around last year as a free agent and no one wanted him and his play this year wasn't much different. The Niners aren't going to get a high end draft pick for a guy who has an 8 million dollar contract and is a mediocre passer who has to be planned around. The best I can see the Niners getting for Smith is a 4th or 5th round pick.

I said it before and I'll say it again: San Fran is better off keeping him as a pricey backup.

I don't know, I could see a desperate team overpaying San Fran for him. I'd say Arizona might be stupid enough to do it, but Smith was never a Steeler, so their probably not interested. However, should Pittsburgh pick him up to back up Roethlisderper (for when he gets his annual injury that will kill their postseason hopes next year) and then release him at the end of the season, expect Arizona to make a run at Smith.

To be fair, John Harbaugh did a fair share of whining during the power outage.

Yeah, both of those brothers are whiny a**holes on the sidelines. I don't know why Jim gets so much more sh** for it when John acts the same goddamn way.

What cost the 49ers their 6th Super Bowl was their inability to score on that last drive.

Pure and simple.

They put themselves in a big hole, and almost overcame it.

It would have been nice.
It would have been sweet.

It would have been reminiscent of Super Bowl XXIII.

But it didn't happen.

:csad:

True, but I wouldn't call that whining exactly. He seemed to be more of an "in your face" complaining as opposed to Jim "Cry bloody murder" complaining.

I never saw John wig out the way Jim does. I'm sorry be "as passionate" as Jim does.

John is definitely more mature out there. Jim needs to grow up a bit. And did his whining cost them the super bowl? No haha no that's kusy dumb to even say. His team's subpar performance is what cost them the Super Bowl

Not enough teal. :o

I guess you completely overlooked the 2011 stats with a 27th ranked defense and a LAST ranked rushing offense.

65% Pass Completions, over 1,200 yards (BREAKING a record) 9 TD, 1 INT, in the post season. Those are pretty outstanding numbers.

In the Super Bowl, throwing for almost 300 yards, 30 completions out of 40 passes and a TD?

Saying Eli is in the same category after 2 Super Bowl wins with Dilfer and Johnson is just misguided and misinformed.

2011 was his best year, but he was back to being the same old erratic Eli this year. Of course, it didn't hurt that the Pats, who could score at will against everyone else, could only muster 17 against the Giants D.

No, I'm not putting Eli in the same class as Trenterception and Johnson, but he's not an elite QB. He's proof that the game is still a complicated, multi-faceted one where the best team isn't always one with a great gunslinger.

Go check out his mediocre year from '07, when the Giants won their first SB, and tell me that there is anything which resembles a HOF QB in those stats.

That is why I like being a Cowboy fan....we don't whine about the officiating, we get on talk radio Monday morning and crucify our own players....that is how its done.

Of course not! The Cowboys are the NFL's cash cow and the refs love to schmooze them. Their OL and Michael "Nose Candy" Irvin got away with murder in the 90s. Dallas has just been so irrelevant over the last 15 years that not even the Jerome "Snot-Encrusted Boogar" could save them.

It could always be worse. At least they aren't renaming themselves the Pelicans.

People are still hating on the Pelicans? After that great logo they busted out I thought people shut the hell up.

It looks horrible--very phallic. The colors are horrible, too. Everything about the Hornets' rebrand was executed poorly.

I disagree completely. I think the logo and everything is a hundred times better than what we expected.
