hypnosis

Still wtf is a lucid dream? o_O It sounds sexual in nature and I like that. :o

It's where you're in control of your dreams...

yeah!
that's totally my question too!
Lucid dream to me means "one that is so real you don't realize you're dreaming".
but it souds as if you are asking something different.

as far as I can remember, It's only happened to me once in my life, and that was about 10 years ago.
I think I've had a few, but I always lose control and get killed or something and then wake up, if memory serves correct.

Oh! Those dreams yeah. I've had a couple of those, barely remember em though. I do remember one was like a horror movie dream or something where I was trapped in a Halloween movie and Michael Myers was at my school, but like Hades said I got killed and woke up.

the only reason I remember is because I remember I was talking to my DCs (dream characters), I think they were saying we should all go and do something, you'll enjoy it, and I was like "this isn't real because I'm not really talking", then I closed my mouth, and I think I heard myself talk in my sleep talking to my DCs...

and I'm not entirely sure, but I think I had another where I said to myself "I know this isn't real because it's just a dream" but I can't quite remember...

has anyone ever used hypnosis? I've been thinking of using it recently, for stuff like lucid dreams, weight loss, self improvement...

any thoughts or experiences?

Well, I've never had it done, but I do know that not everyone can be hypnotized. The fact that you WANT to is the first big step.

Another test to know if you'll be able to is- Are you able to drown out all other distractions and focus on only one thing? If so, you're a prime candidate for hypnosis. (According to my Psych professor)

I can definitely do that...

just remember, you're in control... next time you have a lucid dream, say that to yourself every now and then. Might make things a little bit easier...

tried it today, but nothing happened... I'll try again tonight.

I usually wake up when I try speaking in my dreams because I end up doing in real life.

well, I dreamt, but not Lucid. But I did remember it, and that's the first step. :yay:

Lucid dreams rarely happen, it takes someone with a strong mind to control your dreamscape.

I had my first lucid dream last night, and ya know what?...

it sucked.

TEDDY!!! :wow:

it sucked because it was so damn short, and then my subconscious made fun of me for it.

I'm happy and proud to say I attained lucidity last night for the first time, and it was incredible.

I've thought about it but never taken any serious action.
I've always been interested in trying acupuncture too.
I think I recall a HS friend having her Dad hypnotize her, I think it was to lose weight or something. She turned into a major bulimic.
