I can't believe it's been 10 years since Fight Club was released.

Thoughts? Rants? Personal reflections?

Discuss, Space Monkeys...

Don't absolutely love it like some, but it's definitely a very good movie that's fresh and exciting

Listen up, maggots. You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else.

Best movie ever.

I seen the retrospective on JoBlo recently, and really got me thinking about this movie. One of the best high minded black comedys of recent memory, one of my favorite films that I completely missed in the theaters.

Joblo Fight Club 10th anniversary movie special

It was great seeing it in the theatre , not to rub it in . I loved when this movie did a 180 , total mind**ck at the time.

I just watched Fight Club again for the millionth time last night, and it's still my favorite movie of all time. Sadly, I missed it in theaters because when it was released, I was only four. Also, I thought Fight Club doesn't turn ten 'til October. It came out October 15th, right?

Love this movie. Makes you wanna break the mold. Great storytelling.

Yeah he blew out the genius part of his brain with a gun for the woman he loved.

If that ain't romantic I don't know what is.

Pretty symbolic of all male commitment to a relationship. We kill a dynamic part of ourselves for a safe union.

In My Opinion. One of the greatest films ever made.

Great movie! Fincher does a fantastic job and the 3 main actors are great.

Absolutely brilliant, even to this day there's no other movie like it.

I can't believe it's been 10 years. Probably in my top 10 favorite films of all time. It was sheer genius at the time. I'm not sure how well this movie is going to age though as I think it really spoke to a particular audience at an even more specific time.

I think the characters in the movie are around 30, which was only 3 years older than me when it first came out, so I really connected with the message of the film at that time. But now times are different. We have a poor economy with people loosing their homes, we are fighting two wars...it's a different world since 9/11. It makes men feeling dis-illusioned or lost because their life didn't turn out the way TV and movies told them it would just feel rather whiney and babyish.
I still love this movie, though it seems like a timecapsule that perfectly captured the male experience of being Generation-X back in 1999. It spoke very clearly to a specific segment of American men which I was part of back then. I've spoken to younger people and older people, and even women of any age that just don't get this film...but I'll always love it.

Yeah but not even that so much as this...

"Trust Me. Everything's gonna be fine..." *as the buildings explode and guitar riffs fade in, he takes her hand and reassuringly explains* "You met me at a very strange time in my life."

It's just...beautiful. Like, you're standing there watching the world end from a place of complete safety with the person you love. Hell, they, practically make a heart.

I'm wondering given the message of the movie, how did it effect your view of 9/11? Especially seeing those financial buildings collapse, and all the Terrorist scenes, given the Chaos after 9/11? One tin foil hat i worked with told me once it's a "flagged" film to the DHS, and just owning it and talking about blowing up buildings is usually enough to keep you held for a month. So that's why he didn't own it.

I love fiction that intimidates crazy people.

"Self improvement is *********ion, now self destruction.........."

Fight Club remains my favorite film of all time. Not only because of the messages and themes presented, but also because the film can be watched from perhaps 2 or 3 different perspectives.

Can't believe it been 10 years since its release.

Release date: October 15, 2009.

I still have the "paper wrap" DVD set, does anyone know if the Blu-ray is much better, or pretty much the regular cut?

I see on cable on a semi-regular basis, especially late at night (which inspired this post), but never could upgrade to Blu-ray given I dont want a step down in features.

One of my top 5 ever !!! It never gets old !!!:o

"You just had a near-life experience..."

Pure awesomeness !!!
