I Got A DS

A white DS Lite, to be specific. I got a cheap starter kit for the car charger and extra stylus. For games, I got New Super Mario. Bros and Trauma Center. I plan on picking up Ace Attorney, Mario Kart, and Hotel Dusk (and possibly Touch Detective) soon as well.

• Buy screen protectors
• Advance Wars: Dual Strike (should buy 19.99 now)
• Metroid Prime: Hunters
• Any of the Castlevanias
• Save up money for Pokemon Diamond/Pearl.

Well he's bought one now, so theres no need to bring that stuff up.
I suggest Hotel Dusk, it's reviews are all good and it looks amazing.
Pheonix Wright was excellent, I thought, I loved that game.

I don't know if it's just me, but I'm lacking in the "mindless shooter" department, and some times I just really want to shoot stuff.

I got Dusk yesterday - played for like 3 hrs, slept late because of it.

Some may find it a bit boring, since it's like an animated novel. Heavy dialogue you have to listen to from characters you meet etc. If you're patient and like mystery/detective type stuff - it's awesome. If slow, novel-like things put you to sleep - avoid it because it'll probably bore you.

It's cool how you have to hold the DS like a book and get to scribble notes & clues down in a pad. Great game and it's hard to put down (if you're into what I described earlier)

Mario Kart is a must own.
Same with Metroid Prime Hunters IMO. (multiplayer is fun as hell)
New Super Mario Bros. is great, same with WarioWare: Touched.
I bought Resident Evil DS but that's pretty much only if you're a hardcore resident evil fan.
Hotel Dusk is awesome, I got it a couple days after it came out after hearing nothing but positive things about it, all of them turned out to be true.
I can't wait for zelda though, got my copy reserved already.
