IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK!!!
But, of course, if your were thinking that it had something to do with 'Spider-Man 4'. You're right. Congratulations.
Anyhow, as the title reads: I had a strange dream, last night. How strange was it? Well, let me explain:
In my dream, I'm alsleep. But suddenly, I hear a strange "clicking" sound come from the living room. So, the annoying sound headed up waking myself up. Out in the living room to inspect, I discover that it's coming from the computer... Which is on. But, not only is it on. It's set to the 'Superhero Hype!' homepage! Walking over to the computer monitor, I begin to decrypt a headline. A headline that reads exactly:
'Spider-Man 4' Villian(s) Revealed!
You'll never guess who's back...
So, with the excitement getting the best of me, I click on the headline to take me to the story. Scrolling past all of the ridiculous and uninforming text, I scroll down to the bottom. There, it read:
"...So, the villains of the upcoming? Believe it or not, Venom! Another report indicates that Chameleon will also be added into the mix, portrayed by Michael Papajohn. The report also revealed that this Venom will not be the "Venom" from the last installment, featuring Eddie Brock Jr (Topher Grace). This one will feature an entirely different "Eddie Brock" by the name of simply: Eddie Brock.
"Some rumor that this "new Eddie Brock/Venom" may be the one we see from the upcoming 'Venom' solo feature scheduled.
"A brief synopsis has been released in the meantime: Starting up a new adventure, from the conclusion of 'Spider-Man 3', 'Spider-Man 4' finds ourselves caught back up with the two lovers Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson. However, their love, once again, keeps them seperate, as they try to make way with their daily lives. However, with an assignment from the Daily Bugle, Peter must pay a visit to a mental institution, by the name of Ravencroft, with a fellow Bugle reporter (Ned Leeds) to investigate a man. Claiming to be "the real Eddie Brock"."
Frightening... Frightening, how an imagination can pick up such a crazy-insane idea like that. Ugh... This kind of storyline worries me. But, at the same time, it oddly thrills me. Knowing what they could do with this material. However, what scares me is how far out of the character's territories they'll be willing to step outside of. And, not just with Eddie Brock. But, with Peter Parker, as well. I hope that if they're going to use such a storyline, they would have the courage to keep the characters original flavours and personalities. Especially with Spider-Man. I don't want to see him be "Peter Parker in a costume" again. I want to see the character grow into the Spider-Man we know. But, of course, that'll be out of the question if Tobey can't pull off the persona...
Anyhow, that was my strange dream. I hope you enjoyed it. If you have any past/present dreams to post about this topic, post away.
