Comics i know i might be yelled at, but..

ok im not sure if this is the right place to ask, but:

im not asking hypothetical who would win. my question is for things that actually occurred in the comics. what fights/battles happened and who won? (i'm especially interested in cyclops vs wolverine) idk b/c most of my knowledge is based on the 90's cartoon. thanks for the help

It is to my understanding that hero vs. hero fights tend to be a draw or end on a technicality of some sort because whoever wins half the fanboys would be pissed.

i remember someone on the boards said this almost exactly.

In the Ultimate Univserse Wolverin beat Cyclops and tossed him off a cliff.

But then Cyclops got better and absolutely unloaded one huge optic blast on Wolverine and clearly won that fight.

Actually that wasn't even a fight. Cyclops fell down a hole, Wolverine caught him, then when no-one was looking he dropped him.

Besides that, Wolverine beat the crap out of him in a fist fight but Cyclops blasted him through a wall and just when Wolverine popped out the claws and lunged(SP?) at him, Xavier froze both their minds and put them in time out.

Cyclops did come back after the drop though by the way. Blasted Wolverine unconscious (but Wolverine felt he deserved it and let him).

In Astonishing, once again Cyclops just blasts Wolverine but the rest of the fight was off screen but I'll tell you this; Cyclops didn't have a scratch on him after.

As for other moments, in Ultimate X-men Marvel Girl slammed Wolverine unconscious into a wall.

Wolverine killed all the X-men (holograms) in a Danger Room session (quite well done too).

Also in Ultimate, Gambit beat Wolverine in their first fight by grabbing one of his claws and threatening to blow him up from the inside out...He later put his broken staff in his mouth (do. not. say. a word.) and blew his mouth off...Later Wolverine beat the crap out of him (Gambit did not want to fight him though. He was now a good guy.)

In ultimate, Colossus and Wolverine fought mostly offscreen in danger room sessions but I remember Collossus walking out with his body over his shoulder.

In Astonishing, Wolverine and Beast beat the crap out of each other to a draw (Emma Frost intervened, made them bow, and sent them to time out).



These are all the moments I can think of off the top of my head and even so they're just Wolverine moments. There are so many of these.

Honestly, I don't think Wolverine should've stood a chance against Beast. Beast is quicker, stronger, and heals just as well. Ah, that would've been one great fight to see conclude.

He heals just as well? I don't think he can take walking into a hail of gunfire or arrow rain. But yeah, I think it should have gone a bit more in his favor...But man what an awesome fight it was. I still go back to see it.

 

[Silicon Surfer]

Colossus punched Wolverine out once at least. Cannonball put Wolvie down and out with one punch to stop Wolvie from attacking Marrow. Spidey once put Wolvie in a web sack with his fists webbed to the side of his head. In one of the tangled timelines of Limbo the Demon Sym killed Wolverine.

Beast's current mutation saved him from getting impaled through the chest. Or was it the gut? I can't quite remember.

I thought that was Golden Boy from Academy X that saved him and the other mortally wounded X-Men in Astonishing. Or are you referring to that awful crud from X-Treme?

X-Baby Colossus punched X-Baby Wolverine in the nose causing it to bleed. Clearly X-Baby Colossus beat X-Baby Wolvy.
X-Baby Wolvy will think twice before checking out Teenage-Kitty's underpants.

That awful crud from X-Treme. When Vargas impaled Beast, Sage had to unlock his current catish mutation, so he'd develop a healing factor that'd save his life.

When Beast first mutated into the blue form from his human one he had a healing factor that was better than anything that Wolvie has ever had.

Then that seemed to have gone missing out of nowhere and they brought it back...Hmm. So basicly he can hand Wolverine his ass now...But wait, no jumping to conclusions now. Gotta remember that Wolverine can go toe to toe with Sabretooth as well...and every now and then he'd actually win.

In case anyone forgot, in Age of Apocalypse, Cyclops shot Wolverine's adamantium handoff, which was why he had that metal cup over his wrist.

Oh, and then there was the end of that story arc, when Jean tore Apocalypse in half.

but anyway, x-men battles lets see.

the pinnacle of badassness was when archangel in full death mode, took on all of the rest of x-factor.

i remember after the x-tinction agenda, gambit and wolverine's first fight in the danger room, gambit won by rigging the fight. gotta love a guy who aint afraid to fight dirty. and in a separate training session in the same issue archangel defeated cannonball.
