Can't you just take out the batteries? Your aunt probably never pays attention to the time, when she is asleep just take out the batteries. And if she notices then just tell her that the batteries must be dead and you don't have the kind it takes to replace them and infact the stores don't sell that type of battery any more and everyone would be better off if you just got a new clock perferably one that does not make sound.

because it is hers, and you just don't destroy things that don't belong to you. the reason it is in the living room (where I sleep) is that she knows the time when she is going to work or cooking (since the living room and kitchen are attached)
