I Know You'll Have The Dack Stecked Against The Wrestling Thread

Wow, they're signing some lovely ladies right now. Of all the female wrestlers out today, I wonder who's consider to be the big must-have for the WWE right now?

I don't really sense that the WWE sees these talents as major "gets" or not at this point. I'm sure the notion that "we can take any bimbo from a modelling agency and train her up to be a diva" is still prevalent, it just so happens that right now it makes sense to use these independent territories and wrestling schools as crucibles to burn away all the posers and misfits and ensure that, at minimum, the women they are bringing over to Orlando have some resilience and commitment to the business.

If you guys haven't watched Max Landis's 'Wrestling Isn't Wrestling", I suggest you do so now.

I'm 3 minutes in, and I'm dying.

The full Invasion Attack card has been revealed. The PPV is going to take place on April 5th, 2015.

They need to do something with Sting tonight besides him walking down the ramp and pointing his bat at people.

Former Ring of Honor Tag Team Champion Jimmy Jacobs has signed a deal with WWE and he's expected to start with the company in April after WrestleMania 31. However, Jacobs will be working on the creative team and not wrestling.

Jacobs signing with WWE has been in the works for some time now. His last appearance for ROH could be the March 27th Supercard of Honor event in California.

Sting was spotted at the airport by a fan today headed to RAW. Looks like he's slimmed down quite a bit

Holy **** man, there has to be a category in the Oscars for that to be nominated in, that was fantastic.

The only criticism is that they should have got a ripped hot guy to be Stephanie.

So I might be at Jacobs' final ROH show ever? Damn. :(

But regardless of what role he has, he deserves it.

Thanks anyway though. I imagine even Triple H is laughing his ass off watching this today.

holy crap I just spotted Haley Joel Osment in that video

So I finally understood the point of the video. Triple H was never a great wrestler.

:funny: Gotta admit, that was pretty funny.

Triple H is a good character although not a great wrestler in my opinion.

Max Landis is usually annoying but that was a good video.

EC3/Ethan Carter said some solid things on scripted Wrestling and the Bill DeMott controversy.

I think being locked into a verbatim script is hard for a wrestler because we’re not professional actors. If we were, we’d be getting paid not to get hurt. The thing about being a wrestler and a character is that it’s an extension of your personality. It’s hard for somebody to write who you are. It’s easier to be given a scenario and a situation where you can act in it.

As far as wrestling training, it should be difficult a hundred percent. You’re in a place where you’re supposed to represent the best. During my time in developmental, I had some of the best coaches in the world. I had Dr. Tom Prichard, Steve Keirn, Norman Smiley, we had Billy Kidman for a time, Ricky Steamboat, and all these guys push you. They push you to be better constantly. I would be dead dog tired from those practices, but it was never at the expense of my humility as a human being, at the expense of being made an example of, it was to get better. I was pushed to get better. I firmly believe that fully. As far as that scenario, what’s come out are things that did happen and it isn’t a place for that. Not in 2015. Not in wrestling in general. It’s not bettering you as a wrestler.

Both of them were in the video.

Seth Green, Chris Hero, Bad Influence, Colt Cabana, Joey Ryan, that guy from Smallville who played Doomsday and was in the American version of Being Human.

Larry Zbyszko was before my time, but I appreciate his contributions to the business. After all, he did help sell out Shea Stadium due to how hot his feud with the real "Living Legend" Bruno Sammartino was back in 1980.

People give the Z-Man crap as a commentator, but he never bothered me. I also liked his stint in TNA as The Director where he gave Jeff Jarrett and Raven a hard time.
