When I heard about the new show, I remembered Evolution and started rewatching it. The first season was ok, a bit too much teen angst. The 2nd season started getting better, especially with the finale.
I liked this more than the 90's series. The 90's series is still great, I loved how it adapted a lot of story arcs from the comics. I felt Evolution developed the characters more (other than the new mutants save Iceman). Probably one of the best things about the show was how Wolverine got very little screen time. Though the flashback episode with him and Captain America was great. I liked how Capt, Fury, SHIELD, and HYDRA made appearences.
It's a shame that the 4th season was short and it didn't get a 5th season. I would have liked to see more on Colossus since his motivation for joining Magneto was barely touched on and a relationship with Shadowcat was hinted at a bit.
I haven't watched a whole lot of the newer show. I watched the 3-part pilot. I'm not a fan of Wolverine being the leader but I didn't like the idea of teenage X-Men.
