So I'm watching Cruise Control on the Season 3 DVD and man do I miss Tamara-shipping...

And the animation in the scene where Magma jumps into the volcano was on par with a Disney Feature. I hope W&TXM lives up to that.

There are waaaay too many stupid cartoons out nowadays (Teen Titans is awful and so is the new Batman cartoon). I need some X-MEN!!!!!!!!!! :p

Teen Titans had sick animation. I haven't seen a show so violent as that (not blood, or content wise, more or less fighting style).
 
Hey. I'm new - anyone know why I can't make a new topic?

Anyway, I wanted to ask - is X-men Evolution the best animated series available on dvd for X-men fans, or are there others I should be considering? (mainly for my 11 year old little brother, but I'm 18 and I loved the films, so I'm hoping for something that will interest both of us... maybe send it to both of us from santa claus :)

Okay, also, I've learned over the years that more important than the content of a given media usually isn't as important as how well it is done. So, question 2: Are there any other popular comics turned series (besides smallville) that are done better than the X-men series' are? Like, if X-men Evolution is 8/10, is there a spiderman series that's actually 10/10 in your opinion? Or I mean... not just spiderman... anything you can think of. My brother really likes graphic novels and comic-based films; he also reads a bunch of adult fantasy... pretty much anything he can find... he got his hands on fight club and wrote a book report on it in 4th grade... teacher wasn't pleased... anyway, don't aim your recommendations towards a typical 11 year old, but just recommend the best you know for the adult/young adult, because my brother doesn't much like the kids stuff anyway.

Spider-man TAS probably isn't a 10/10 today, but back in the day I'd say it was 9/10.

The two Spider-man animated shows that came later, Spider-man Unlimited and Spider-man MTV were **** as well as complete and utter failures.

thanks. tas - is that an abbreviation or if i search for spider-man tas on amazon ill find it?

Also, what about x-men dvd series? and anything else based on a graphic novel that's good? Like, what would you say your favorite five tv series based on graphic novels would be?

I read like, just a few days ago...it was an old article not new by the way...that plans for season four dvd was cancelled or put on hold or something for the time being......


I saw a bootleg collection of Evo (the entire series) a while back...should I pick it up or wait till season for is/may/eventually released on dvd? The website also has TAS...I was thinking of picking both up and then being done with it as far as getting any kind of dvd for both...
 
I need season 4 real bad. :(

It's sad. They said the next season would've featured Colossus, finally, as an X-Teen and focused around the Phoenix Saga, effectively tieing off the Scott and Jean characters in the show (seeing as how they graduated and everything).
 
supposedly they would've jumped forward to their college years. I'm not sure I buy that though...

I really love the show, and their versions of Scott and Jean, but to tell you the truth I always found the student aspect really forced upon them. Half the time it didn't make sense. They were really inconsistent on how experienced Scott and Jean were. Sometimes they made them the team leaders, even usurping Wolverine and Storm in terms of competence and effectiveness, other times they treated them as absolute kids. Some episodes seemed to forget they were students altogether so they could focus on the younger kids like Nightcrawler, Kitty, Evan and Rogue.
 
After seeing the new trailer W&TXM, it feels like we're finally getting Evo back. ^_^

Ahh....I miss this show too, but at least it went out with a bang....so to speak.
