You ever work with people that constantly complain about their job yet won't do anything about it?

If they hate the job so much why don't they just quit and find another one?

Cuz they just want to ***** about something and have a crowd to do it:o

Thats my sister. she complains on how she hates it but doresn't quit yet.

Probably has something to do with having bills to pay? :whatever:

Because it is easier to moan about a job than it is to find a new one.

especially these days

True, I should know. But at least I knew what I was getting into at this job, so I have no right to complain.

Because today's people would rather gripe than actually attempt to achieve something.

Well if you knew what you were heading for... I moan about my job, but seeing as everyone in my industry is getting laid off, im staying where i am so i can collect redundancy pay!

I recently quit my job. I did nothing but complain about it, so I walked away. I would've liked to have had another job waiting for me when I did so, but I had enough!

I made a thread about it, but Majic Walrus chewed me out for "quitting what sounds like a relatively desirable job because [I was] tired of it."

Yes- a girl who works with me hates everyone there except me. She keeps saying she has no reason to stay there (her family is in another town and she has a masters degree and could easily get another job).
Worst part is, she sits in my office *****ing about it everyday and keeps me from getting work done.

Love the avvy

I hate when people complain about their jobs....all that whining and complaining. I'm just like, hey, just quit yer crying and go out to the job tree and pick another one you ****ing *******!

That usually takes care of it.

Most people that are in the service industry are only doing it until something better comes along, so decrying them for saying they hate it doesn't really make sense. Unless they're in a supervisory role, then what they're doing is pretty unfulfilling.

It can take months to find another job, even a meanial one that you might end up hating so what is the point unless your current job is so absolutely miserable you have no choice. In the meantime if you have no money saved up what's the alternative? Become homeless?

I loved my job so much I quit, to preserve the moment.

i hate my job and would love to quit, but it's a stupid move unless you have another job to move into. plus it's easier to get a new job if you're in a current one

I hate working for my new boss (who started in June when my old boss retired), and I'd quit, but I'm leaving to go to school in the beginning of December and need money, therefore it's better for me to stay at my current job and just wait it out (despite complaining outside of work) until December, rather then quit and waste all that time or get another job only to leave barely a month later.

It occurs to me...
that most people who complain about their jobs... are not so much complaining about, like, their jobs, as they are about constricting circumstance, about the pain of being trapped into a life they can't escape and deathly cycle of routine... about helplessness.

Whiny bastards.

Yeah, that's what I mean.

Whiny bastards.

:cmad:

Job=being able to pay bills, stop complaining about how much the job sucks, your going to be working 8-12 hours a day, change your attitude about it and try to enjoy it.

Right, because nothing bad ever came from someone shutting up and putting up with a job they hate.

I hate my job, and do complain about it but there is reasons I stay.
I like most of my co-workers and can pretty much get my way when it comes to scheduling. It would be very hard for me to find a job around here where I can easily dictate weekends (and specific shifts on those days) when I'm in school and full time when I'm not, without any hassles or compromises in shift preference.
