I think Supes is immortal

:D

he ain't immortal

weakens the character imo

but ojectively speaking

one he can be killed by prolonged exposure or sever exposure(like a bullet to the brain) to krytonite

an enchantment done by the right person could kill god...and more than likely superman as well lol

Lobos one of the last true imortals in comicdom...chop him up into tiny pieces and his blood will spawn more of himself...
cut superman into tiny pieces and lois is officially on the market again.

umm he has a beating heart...he ain't imortal lol

he can hold his breath for 20 or so minutes...(like when he's in space) ever wonder what happens when he runs out of air?

will he live forever if unharmed?
good question...probubly not cause even solar batteries run out of functionality eventually.
kryptonians may have been more advanced than huamans but they aged...which means cellular decay...which mean their bodies eventually stoped "aging" and started "dying"
(ie the grey hair on some of them...superman himself had it in KC)

even ASS is faced with death on a cellular level

The Question said:
I highly doubt that he's stronger than every living being on the planet combined.

I doubt every living being on the planet combined could move a planet sized object operating engines to propel it against all these individuals pushing.

Supes did ;). He also moved the moon.

Umm, this information like most of Marvins post is wrong. Supes no longer needs to breathe. He did for a while after Byrnes "Man of Steel" Retconn but, pre "Infinite Crisis" this was no longer the case.

What? God, DC is just getting more stupid with power levels by the day.

He did this to Warworld in sundipped form. Also as energy Supes he moved the Moon back into orbit when Asmodel and co were doing there thing the first time. Wonderwoman, Supes and if I remember correctly Jon Jonzz moved the moon once also, through space some distance. It was commented in narration supes. did more than a third of the work, being the strongest. Others i'm sure like Eli could give you issue numbers my filing is not that good.

so u mean superman as we know him today has never actually moved the moon under his own power(alone, without using electromegnetism, or temporarily powered up to an unknown exponet(possibly in the thousands)

?

not that i read all of the pooly written series but where/when did it say he could breath in space.....

or rather didn't breath any more?
(guess that means his blood ain't red anymore)

what else about my post(do u think) is wrong?

He moved the moon with two other beings he lifted at least a third of the moon on his own. All lifle on Earth could not do that.

He didn't need to Breathe in Space at all from the mid nineties onwards, he has been in space for months on several occasions without air or food.

Many Christians, Jews and Muslems might disagree with this comment to start with.

I'm just trying to get ur statements straight is all...
a third of the moon u say
total concievable force that can be created by all life (sentient or not) on earth at once...
and the moon won't even budge?

before i get into that
I think it should be said that superman moving the moon from it's orbit was a feat of propulsion not strength...

He didn't need to Breathe in Space at all from the mid nineties onwards, he has been in space for months on several occasions without air or food.

funny many instances in books exceeding that date would prove otherwise...

I'm not just talking about him with air takes or rebreathers in space but rather
statements that he has a respitory system or his blood has red cells

Many Christians, Jews and Muslems might disagree with this comment to start with.

and many non christians, jews, and muslems don't even believe he exists(I'm not one of them)

they can believe what they want

Well Marvin, I can name the story arcs that contradict your statements can you? As you admitted you don't rad the serious I doubt it. You also indicate your opinions and motivations through this post.

More amusingly, why mention God if you don't believe in him?
Why believe an enchantment can kill a supreme being?

I can name the story arcs that support my opinion yes.

and yes I read plenty..I just don't pay to read bad books is all.

yes, I love indicating my opinion thank you

never said i don't believe in god...quite the opposite actually
and sure, untill it's proven otherwise, I do belive that an enchantment can do anything

didn't asmodel come plenty close to erasing god or something?

No he hasn't, but he has moved the moon twice(with help) in his normal form and once in electromagnetic form. He has also moved the earth once with the help of M.M. and Wonder Woman. I'd hardly regard them as poorely written issues. Most will agree that Grant Morissons and Waids run on the JLA is some of the best commercially (As in standard D.C. and Marvel) written stuff.

Bendis should take note of how to write a good team book.:)

He's been able to breathe in space since the extra training Mongul provided him for OWAW. :)

He came as close as Lucifer did .... The only thing that has successfully defeated God is the Babel fish. :)

so he needs to breath...:o
weather it be somehow in space or otherwise

cause there is numerous documentation of his respitory system
and a lung capacity that has it's limits

actually Dan Brown Pwned god with nothing more than an ill concieved publication...

that being said I only mentioned god as a device but in the name of a funtional debate...
replace my use of god in that post with say...
the Spectre.
