I think you have to show proof of registration when you pick up your badge. And like someone said by 2014 its going to get worse. Some attendees are taking a hiatus till 2016. That's when it is expected the San Diego Convention center expands allowing a larger group.

But who knows what will happen 3 years from now. Hollywood now controls comic con. They can move it to the Kodiak theater and allow only celebs and the paparazi.

I really want to go to next year's but it's going to be more hectic than ever. I might not go just to avoid the headache and hassle, but then again, it would be my first SDCC ever.

2014's SDCC will probably see the biggest turn out ever since it was started. Avengers 2 and Star Wars Episode VII are sure to bring in a ****ton of people. Probably won't be more than 3 inches between people in the entire place.

Exactly! You have all these star chasers and paparazzi running on the aisles trying to get snapshot of celeb going into a panel or shopping on the floor.

While this would be an epic thing for SDCC to do for the hardcore fans...it would be bad business for the city of San Diego. They want SDCC to grow as much as possible because that is their annual Giant Cash Cow.

However, if the Convention Center doesn't expand by 2016 both L.A. and Anaheim would host the event and if that is the case L.A. would be worse because their hotel area is terrible compare to Anaheim's Disney Motel system and Parking.

Time will tell.
