Sadly its just the way the world is at the moment. Blacks/Asians seem to be able to be racist towards white people and get away with it, But White people can't tell a racist joke about blacks before A MLK wannabe slaps him silly. Its like White people's punishment for enslaving Blacks in the past I guess? Only That was our ancestors not people who are alive today.

I'm not saying I want a white mans club or anything like that. I'd just like to be able to joke about blacks the way Comedians like Eddie Murphy do about Whites, without being called a racist.

I ponder some of this stuff at times and the bottom line is simple, please try to follow...

I inherited a history of violence, racism, oppression, rape, murder, and any other of the MANY horrible crimes commited on a DAILY basis towards my people. Your people have to at least inherit the responsibility.


...And if you think a few backsided jokes truly ever makes up for that, then you have no concept of how detrimental those crimes truly were.

I know your point is that you want us all to be one big happy human race, but the truth is we are all different and our differences will always come between us, even if unintentionally. We have to learn to live with each other INSPITE of that fact.

Honestly, I've been to a lot of clubs where white comedians joke about Black people. but they're inclusive of everyone and they cap on everyon. I mean it's the way they do it. They joke about sterotypes and **** like that. It's not like they're throwing down the N word or nothing like that.

i think comments like that are a big problem.

a few nights ago, i had a conversation with my roommate (a black lesbian), that was similiar in topic.

basically, my point was that i did not commit those crimes. i did not have slaves, and i did not rape, murder or oppress anyone. that said, i'm apologizing for any of it. it's a damn shame that that's our country's history, and i wish it was different, but i am not my father, so to speak.

i just think that when you keep the attitude that people like me owe you for something some people did before i was born, then you're wrong. you're just dead wrong, and you're somewhat promoting segregation. by seperating yourself from a race of people, you're segregating yourself.

why can't we be just PEOPLE, for God's sake?

why do we have view each other by race?
