Days of Future Past Ideal sequel cast... (may contain spoilers)

yeah but heres the thing...1 new addition, one new character...

But

Cyclops, Storm, Jean, Wolverine, Gambit, Jason. Toad and Sabretooth - have all been established in the movie universe so if any of them were to re-appear in the prequel they wouldnt techically be the 1 new character. if you look at my cast of characters... Toad was already established, Sinister potentially could be a cameo or small role but Polaris would be initially the 1 new character.

Professor X/Charles Xavier - James McAvoy.
Magneto/Erik Lensherr - Michael Fassbender.
Mystique/Raven Darkholme - Jennifer Lawrence.
Beast/Hank McCoy - Nicholas Hoult.
Havok/Alex Summers - Lucas Till.
Banshee/Sean Cassidy - Caleb Landry-Jones.
Darwin/Armando Muñoz - Edi Gathegi.
Polaris/Lorna Dane - Teresa Palmer.
Emma Frost - January Jones.
Angel Salvadore - Zoe Kravitz.
Azazel - Jason Flemyng.
Riptide/Janos Quested - Alex González.
Avalanche/Dominic Petros - Kevin Durand.
Toad/Mortymer Toymbee - Jamie Bell.
Moira McTaggert - Rose Byrne.
Bolivar Trask - Chiwetel Ejiofor.

i have to agree with the velvet onion in regards to using toad, he brings up some good points with the character.

kill havok, bring in scott, jean, storm. maybe jason before he went insane.

so for the sequel, who would be your ideal cast?

heres mine

The three cast members would be
Robert Knepper - as Sinister
Joseph Gordon-Levitt - as Toad
Dianna Argon - as Polaris

The reason for those is because i thought it would be cool to have magnetos daugther without having to mention quicksilver or scarlet witch BUT, i thought why dont we make the younger verson of toad and polaris a mutant couple, but are split apart by views, Toad eventually going with Magneto and Polaris with Xavier, where Polaris and Havok become an item...

I really don't like the character of Toad, but you do bring some great points! If they handle him they way you suggested he could turn out to be a pretty decent character. Also, I really don't think much of Argon as an actress, but on the other hand she is a little bit more talented the other actresses that other people are suggesting and I can picture her having some chemistry with the cast.

kill havok, bring in scott, jean, storm. maybe jason before he went insane.
While I would much rather see Scott, Jean and Storm. In my opinion, killing off Havok this soon would be a waste. I would much rather see them do something interesting with the character and develop him, then kill him off if they must.

yeah, you cant really judge these young actor/actresses for not having much acting skills... i mean come on there only just in the media, give them a break. As for Argon, i think she is doing really well with her career.

i feel that if you have polaris in the movie she would need to be around the age of the other younger cast members.

i wouldnt cast Joseph Gordon-Levitt as toad though, he's to old for the role to play a younger toad. i would probably cast that guy who was in social network as toad.

Heh. I liked Toad in X-men evolution. Even though he wasn't really the same character. I could see him working in a sequel. I don't think he would ever be more than just a glorified background character though.

And I have to ask. Why does a character have to die to exit the story? And why do people always use the phrase "killed off". If a story is written properly a character dies, he/she isn't killed off. Saying "kill off" implies that you just want to get rid of them and therefore why not just have them leave the team ala Nightcrawler. Banshee was an on again off again X-man in the comics was he not?

X-Men First Class did two things. It gave explination to two complex characters from the previous movie and more background to two minor characters as well... But it then opened a pandora's box if you will on the need to explain the characters that were introduced in first class like Havok and Banshee

When you think about it, Havok left the x-men to join the goverments funded programe X-Factor. which is something i expressed should appear in either x4 or explored in one of the first class sequels.

If you introduce Polaris, you would have that relationship to explore. Then you will have thought that Xaviers first class of mutants, Havok and Polaris went on to join X-Factor, Beast went into politics and Banshee well all you can think is that he at somepoint found a girlfriend got her pregnant and they had a child who by x2 was a member of the x-mens school.

Yeah, maybe I was a little too harsh since I was just judging her based on what I seen in Glee, I am Number Four and in The Romantics; neither of which would properly reflect any actor’s talent. But in my defence, I didn’t say she was completely wrong for the part.

Sorry, I use the term "kill off" a little bit too freely and I agree with your statement 100%. No charactor needs to die unnessasarly.

I'd keep all the cast from the first movie and then just add three new characters for the second one.

Scott Summers/Cyclops - ???
Jean Grey - Hailee Steinfeld
Nathaniel Essex/Mr. Sinister - Robert Knepper

I'd really want Storm in a sequel but I feel if Scott and Jean were in it, along with Sinister she'd get short changed so many keep her for a part three.

I'm not good at casting, so I'll just list my ideal rosters.

X-Men:
Professor X, Beast, Banshee, Havok, Cyclops, Jean Grey

Brotherhood:
Magneto, Mystique, Azazel, Emma Frost, Juggernaut

Since it seems that X3 isn't canon anymore, I think a sequel to FC would be the best place to do Juggernaut justice. Instead of being as big as the Hulk, I think he should be in a suit armor, the armor giving Juggy his incredible strength. Something like this, should do:

It would please the fans because it looks like the comic Juggy, but it wouldn't be super outlandish. I know Vaughn said he only wants to introduce one new character, but I think the two most important X-Men (story wise) & a new villain would be good enough. I'd get rid of Angel, she's a stupid character & didn't do anything important anyway.

That's actually a pretty inspired casting choice. I Googled some pictures of Hailee Steinfeld and Famke Janssen and watched some of their interviews, and Hailee kind of looks and talks like a younger version of Famke.

My ideal cast for Second Class
X-Men
Professor X, Beast, Havok, Banshee, Polaris, Sunfire

Brotherhood
Magneto, Mystique, Emma Frost

New Villains
Mr. Sinister, Marrow, Avalanche

Don't know the Sunfire's fate. Leaves the team? Or stay for another chapter?

This looks good but no way FOX is gonna X3! And there's hundreds of Villains in the X-Men universe that have yet to be in the movie.

Yes, but how many of them are good? I don't know, maybe I'm biased since Juggy is my favorite X-Villain & I want to see him done right.

-Marrow
-Spiral
-Mr. Sinister

-People from Marauders
-Omega Red

-Scarlet Witch
-Silver Samurai
-Mojo
etc.

Apocalypse - Steven Seagull
Polaris - Shannon Tweed
Wolfbayne - Latoya Jackson

Teresa Palmer nailed her kick ass role in I am Number Four. I'm not sure if she can nail Polaris

There is one character in the marvel universe i would love to see at some point during the trilogy because this character could be percieved as a hero or a villian depending on stance. That is of course the character of Forge...

I would like to see this character be human and not a mutant, it would be an awesome idea to see Forge as the creator of the sentinals without him knowning that his creation would lead to mutant capture. The reason he would be brilliant is because you potentially could have a character who thinks he is helping mutants, discovers what really happening, feels responsible and seeks out retribution. I figure Forge would be a brilliant character to bring in around the time of introducing a younger storm.

I figure the best actor to play him is Jeffery Dean Morgan

The characters Havok, Salvadore, Azazel and Darwin don't need to return in the sequel even Hellfire Club are not needed until the Phoenix saga. The rest of the FC cast should return including new characters such as Cyclops, Jean Grey, Iceman and Angel.

Professor X/Charles Xavier - James McAvoy
Cyclops ???
Jean Grey ???
Iceman ???
Angel ???
Beast/Hank McCoy - Nicholas Hoult
Caleb Landry Jones - Banshee
Magneto/Erik Lensherr - Michael Fassbender
Jennifer Lawrence - Mystique

havok is essentially the leader of the team when the team will be established that is what was being set up in the story but just wasnt explored. he is essential for now

It would look silly. Look at how big his hands are. I was fine with what they did with Juggs in X3 but I wish they made his costume a bit better. I like that costume but no way are we ever going to be getting a human character that big.

As I've said in all other thread I've posted this in, this is for more than one sequel; I don't expect this mass amount of characters in the next one.
I honestly trust Singer and Vaughn when it comes to selecting which character will work best for whatever story they want to tell, despite how it differs from comic continuity.
Again, don't tell me it's too many characters because I'll ignore you because you either didn't read or didn't understand the bold; this is for more than one sequel; I don't expect this mass amount of characters in the next one.

You can feel free to ignore the castings of mine if you'd like(I already know some will), however, try to comment more on the characters.

I do have to agree though... you could bring in Scott to 2nd Class.

Havok and Cyclops feud in Second Class, then in Third Class Vaughn could have Cyclops "accidently" kill off havok.

So Cyclops could work :D, can't think of who would play him though :p
