IESB: Welling out of the running for JLA Superman

You see, this right here is the main reason why this movie should be TOTALLY CGI. It would eliminate all this arguing over who is going to be cast as who. I want to see Superman, not Routh or Welling. NEITHER of them look like him and NEITHER of them have the acting chops to pull off the character. There really isn't anyone in Hollywood who really fits like Reeve did so they should skip all of those headaches and make a CGI movie.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jake Gyllenhaal or Joshua Jackson end up as Batman.

After all - they were both quite high on WB's list for Batman Begins.

Bloddy awful choices, the lot of 'em. Jackson should never step anywhere near a comic book film and Jake would make a better Spider-Man. But the fact that so many people bring up someone to be either Spider-Man or Batman disturbs me. Two completely different characters, completely different looks, no such thing as an actor who could define them both. I sure as hell don't want a wimpy looking small Batman. I'd also prefer they cast someone in their mid 30s.

I agree with the CGI part, disagree greatly with the acting chops.
Debating / arguing over Routh and Welling was bad enough now there is going to be a third SUPERMAN to praise and/or rip.

I understand the want to make everything look realistic, but Alex Ross's Flash just sucks. The suit looks awful...like plastic and foam.

Debating / arguing over Routh and Welling was bad enough now there is going to be a third SUPERMAN to praise and/or rip.

If JLA happens, there will only be one current Superman, the new guy. JLA will replace MOS and by summer of 2009, Smallville will be off the air for good. So technically, whoever they choose to play Superman in the Justice League movie will replace both Welling and Routh.

Batman on the other hand...
