I love deadpool, but we all do realize even though he's in the upcoming Wolverine movie he probably won't have more than 30 minutes of screen time and then all the non-comic fans will forget about him and just remember its Ryan Reynolds. I don't get why people are in support of a movie for this character I know he is popular, but outside comic fans no one knows who he is. if this movie does get made do to the success of wolverine it will probably turn out bad and unfaithful to the character. and no one will really know what the hell it is outside of comic fans. don't forget studios push agendas. think about all the character FOX has messed up and do you guys still want a deadpool movie?

Perhaps the wall breaking will be done for the DVD? Have Ryan Reynolds do a commentary for the entire movie while in character as Deadpool. :D

I heard he has a big role.

me 2, thats why they have been keeping him under wraps. Jackman, hood, and Rothman (i think thats his name) all sound really excited about Deadpool.

If it's true and Deadpool has a decent role, I wonder if the director can pull it off. There are so many characters crammed in there and there are quite a few important characters that need some good screentime.

Wolverine, Sabretooth, Striker, Gambit, and Deadpool sound like the main ones too be. Judging by the casting and look of Maverick I doubt he'll get much. :(

Maverick looks like Stryker's right hand man. I think Gambit is the one who will get short screentime, but still play a pivotal role. Now that I think of it, I bet Gambit is a MacGuffin

Btw, does anyone else think that the guy playing Maverick/Agent Zero would probably make a good Taskmaster? I don't know why. Maybe it's the guns, maybe it's just the vibe I get from him. When I see him and hear him talk, I think he could give us the classy Udon Taskmaster.

Does it matter at this point? Hes Agent Zero and Taskmaster will probably show up in the same continuity, most likely the possible Deadpool spinoff.

deadpool will have a decent amount of screen time...he will do the 4th wall talking as well. the goal is for deadpool to get his own film, just wait until u see the fight between wolvie and sabertooth vs deadpool.... wow...:word:

btw gambit will have enough screen time to justify his movie also...you'll see..

hahahahahahahaha!
Those panels are hilarious
That is what I want from a Deadpool film

Also, how many think that a Deadpool film should NOT be kid friendly even though most of the jokes clearly are?

DEFINITELY!!!! There's no way you could make a Deadpool movie without having Bea Arthur cameo!

He should be completely aware that he's in a movie, based on a comic book. If they change the costume, he should in fact look at it and go "But...But I never wore this in the comics!" and have everyone else in the movie look at him like he's crazy. It should definetly be a dark comedy.

I want a Deadpool movie, but I'm wary of letting the studio that gave us Daredevil, Elektra, X3, and FF1 & FF2 to make that movie. I'd prefer Marvel to get the rights back and make it themselves, but Fox won't give up this cash cow but rather continue to churn out mediocre movies one after another instead.

I disagree. It can, but it doesn't have to. Another way is to have Deadpool enter already as Deadpool and then explain his origins in full detail in the spin-off as a flashback/past scene before jumping forward to the future.
I understand what you're saying.
but the reason why his oringins in his own film would be a bad move, imo, is because it would probably take away the comedy. his past is pretty dark.

you can balance comedy and drama. The only source of comedy in the whole movie should be Deadpool.

it's not just drama. his past is dark and sad. you wouldn't make comedy out of that.

Its not supposed to be funny. Deadpool is funny. Wade Wilson is tragic. IF the whole movie was a comedy it would seriously take away from Deadpool. Deadpool has to be the only source of comedy in his movie.
