How would you feel? Are you cool with it or does it have to be Norman? If you're cool with it, give your reasoning.

Personally I'll be disappointed if it isn't Norman but I'm willing to keep an open mind.

I do think its gonna be Harry but I also think Norman will have something to with it. Ether way I would be fine with Harry killing Gwen.

i wouldn't mind, but i'd be very curious to see where they would go with it, esp if norman will be in TASM3

If it's done well in the context of the movie i'll be fine with it. There has to be a good emotional text throughout it though

I prefer Norman but like Raam said if is done perfectly i would be cool with that, even i don't wanna see her die.

I'd be 100% fine with it since harry is the goblin in this movie.

by the way... couldn't you have just made this a discussion in the gwen died thread instead of making a new one on it?

I tried, no one paid attention.:p

I'll accept it if it works well in the movie. I'd rather it be Norman, but I could live with Harry.

And, I actually started to like the idea I spitballed in the Gwen thread:
Gwen survives whatever happens in the clocktower. Everything's nice and peachy. She leaves for London, which makes Peter understandably sad. The rooftop scene of Peter sitting all solemnly is actually him just feeling a bit alone. Maybe he thinks about Captain Stacy's "He's not alone!" response to the Lizard, which makes him even more sad that Gwen's gone to London. He's obviously not ready to let her go, but he didn't want to hold her back. She'd be safer without having to be around the Oscorp craziness, anyway.

So she leaves. She gets there safely. End TASM2. Enter TASM3, and Peter finds out that Oscorp's been planning to expand their experimenting at Oxford. It sounds a bit too convenient to him that it's specifically where Gwen's going, but Peter tells Gwen about it and convinces her to come back, and she gets on a plane back. Later, Peter, working for the Bugle now, hears about trouble on a flight from London to NY.

He becomes very concerned, leaving work, but not sure what he can really do. He finally decides to wait at the airport. Gwen's plane gets back to NY, but the landing is delayed and the plane's hovering low to the ground. It becomes obvious that there's something going on, and the authorities can't explain it. Peter, with the plane within reasonable distance for Spider-Man, gets involved. He gets up high enough to reach the plane, and the passengers start parachuting out. They reach the ground safely, without Spider-Man's assistance. But, in the distance, he sees the Green Goblin, who he thought had been taken care of (and Harry had, but this is Norman), flying around on his golider, holding Gwen. "Spider-Man, please come claim your bagage!" GG yells (or something like that), and he drops her. Peter swings as fast as he can to get her, and shoots a web to get her. It's a close call, but he seems to have gotten her. But... you guys know how this ends.

At the end of the day, Norman has killed the one Peter loves, in a way reminiscent of how he killed (or had a hand in killing) his parents. Peter goes on something of a rampage to find the Goblin, and eventually does. That's resolved somehow. He dies, or whatever. But Peter has to live with the fact that he fell into the Goblin's trap and Gwen was to one to suffer, on top of the SNAP!!! questions. The Bugle is painting him as a murderer, with him being seen at the deaths of two Stacys. He's feeling more alone than ever. Maybe the movie ends with nothing to lift the mood much, other than some time.

And, just to wrap this up quickly, in TASM4, he has the symbiote, and it's like a friend to him. Black Cat could show up. She could try to be something of a friend to him (Spider-Man), but he rejects her, for the most part. Say TASM4 is the S6 film, and he takes them down with the symbiote, and BC, maybe. Eventually he feels better because of the symbiote, but realizes that it's changing him and is just an emotion band-aid. Etc. I'm not getting paid for this.

I like that idea. Although I think I would have Goblin fly away with Gwen after Spidey rescues everyone else and then Spidey follows them to the bridge.:woot:

I definitely like those ideas SpeterMan! The solemn rooftop scenes definitely make sense with Gwen leaving.

I'd much, much prefer Norman Osborn to do it, for obvious reasons. This "it's more emotional when it's Peter's friend" is ******** imo. It's cliché. No where near as interesting as when the best friend's psychopathic dad does it.

But, since we all know it's a 99% risk that Harry will do it, I've come to accept it without liking it.

I can understand why you would want it, frankly i'd even be fine with rhino or electro killing her as long as she friggin dies, but i'd prefer it to be harry out of the 3

I definitely wouldn't want rhino killing her, or electro.

As long as a goblin kills her and Peter is responsible than I'm happy.

What if its Peter who kills her after all he was the one responsible for her death imo with the snap and all

so anybody know if we're gonna get another trailer soon
Super Bowl Feb 2nd

nice! and that's not just a tv spot right? it's a full fledged trailer?
