Iron Man If Iron Man and the Hulk had to fight,who do you reckon would win and why?

If it had to happen, who do you reckon would win, in a fight between
the Hulk and Iron Man (be it the comic or film versions, which ever
you like best) and please say why you think so.

HULK. Because they have fought in the comics a few times and the HULK always lays him out with almost no problem. See World War HULK issue 1.

Sure, once out of how many fights? The HULK barely even breaks a sweat beating him countless times before and after. Not to mention in that one time Iron Man almost killed himself doing it when all he did was knock the HULK out.

I still look at that as a win. If you and I fought and for a while it went back and forth, then I beat you up and you get knocked out but I almost die. I'd say you won.

Exactly. His strength has never been properly measured since there's no test in the comics world that can actually quantify the Hulk's power. He just adapts to whatever situation he's currently in.

Only way I see Tony winning is if he someone put the Hulk to sleep or killing him before he gets a chance to adapt. But since Iron Man is one of the good guys and would never deal a death blow (least not purposely), Hulk will pretty much take the win every time.

During WWH, Tony had a plan for taking down Hulk using some substance that strips people of their superhuman abilities. It was only because of sabotage that it failed.

TIH seems to imply that he does indeed get stronger as he gets angrier (when he's fighting the Abomination and he gets that second eye-explosion-thing)

I mean the Hulk cant fly, and I assume IM would be able to attack the hulk from afar with missiles and whatnot. With all the technology he possesses Id have to go with Iron Man, than again are we talking the smart Grey hulk or just regular "hulk smash" hulk whose basically ******ed.
