If Marvel reboots Ghost Rider, who should play Johnny Blaze/Danny Ketch?

Thought I'd make a companion thread of sorts to the Blade casting thread.

I'd personally go with Emile Hirsch for Johnny Blaze

Not really sure I'd pick for Danny Ketch.

I don't know why I guess you can say I just see Pine as a better fit for Johnny Blaze even though Jensen Ackles he would also be great as Johnny

Jensen deserves to be a bigger star than he is. He of course kills it week in and week out on "Supernatural" but I also saw him on stage in Sorkin's "A Few Good Men". The man has chops.

Jensen is perfect for Blaze as he's basically been playing a version of the character for ten years. However that could be detrimental to him getting cast as once he's done with Supernatural he might not want to play a character so similar to Dean. He is on Marvel's radar as he auditioned for Star Lord.

Ooh, I never knew Jensen was up for Star-Lord. I remember Joseph Gordon-Levitt being a finalist but I forget whom all were shortlisted.

But if Marvel wants him for Blaze, I think he'd do it regardless of the Dean similarities.

No offense, but every time someone brings up Jensen Ackles, they say he's "been playing a version of [INSERT ANY SUPERHERO CHARACTER HERE] for 10 years." Granted, a lot of superheroes are similar, but come on. He can't be perfect for Hal Jordan, Johnny Blaze, Captain America, the Flash, Superman, Batman, etc. And yes, I think he's been suggested for all of them.

Oh, my other favorite argument for him is that "he tried out for Captain America, so Marvel's keeping him on the backburner and is going to cast him in something once Supernatural ends!" Uh huh. Just like Glenn Howerton is going to be Namor after Always Sunny ends, right?

Reedus is an interesting suggestion for Blaze. I never would have thought of him but it really works. I'd be all for that.

The thing about Ghost Rider is who cares about Johnny Blaze? I just want to see him turn into a flaming skeleton and then it could be anyone doing the mocap.
