....who would you like to provide his voice?

Personally, I'd like to see Chow Yun-Fat as the voice of Shredder.

David Mccharen would be my first choice.

Mccharen was the guy who did the voice for The Shredder in the 1990 TMNT live action film.

Sonny Chiba wouldnt be a bad choice either.

i don't think i've ever heard an especially threatening asian voice (actor). As long as it sounded convincing, i'd go for it

We thought he was. But in the new movie Kari made a hint that an old bad guy is still alive. Its not impossible for him to be brought back. In the comics he was brought back a few times.

Rat King or Krang please

They could both work as CGI characters

:word:

TMNT takes a lot from the 2003-ongoing animated series. The series itself only introduced Shredder after a while and added a lot of build-up to his appearence. Therefore, I imagine TMNT2: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles V will do the same.

Still say it's a dumb/bad idea mostly because he's still Super-Shredder. Have new villains come in. I want Karai to led the Foot, I want the Triceratons, Rat King, Baxter Stockman and his Mousers, Krang and Dimension X, or like in this movie a entirely new villain. Give me someone new. I'm tired of like the Superman movies where the villain keeps getting rehashed and rehashed over and over again.

If Shredder is in TMNT 2 or 3 (and I'm sure they SHOULD bring him back), I'd say give him Ken Watanabe's voice... should be cool seing him and Zhang Zhiyi together in a movie once again!

Munroe has stated that if he's brought back, he would definately like to incorporate The Shredder into a TMNT sequel. Super Shredder is really a non issue. Considering the whole "vague history" that was discussed prior to TMNT's release, and especially if he's brought back via cloning worms like in the comics.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned James Avery, who voiced Shredder in the 80s series. I think it'd be cool if they could get him back, like the Dreamworks guys did with Peter Cullen for Transformers.

I think Shredder in the new movie should be a broken man. Just barely alive. Somewhere during the movie the Foot Mystics come up with a plan on rejuvinating him but it goes wrong when the Turtles interfer and Kari goes on a crusade against them.

He's not, at the end of The Secret of the Ooze, Shredder is back to normal size, albeit burried until rubble.

His hand still looked pretty juiced up to me. And why would he even revert back? He didn't get anything of the cure.

Yes, thank you. It wouldn't make sense if all of sudden he reverts back because a whole dock falls ontop of him. It's a dumb idea. Shredhead is dead. I want Karai to be Shredder. They never even really explained how and why she took over The Foot, her purpose, or who she was in "TMNT." Her story was so vague and all it was was "I'm the new leader---I hate the Turtles, now I want to team-up, now I hate you again."

TMNT was sort of a bridge between the original TMNT movie and the new TV series. It uses both as a vague history to some extent.

More a bridge to the old comics IMO, but barely. The new series sucks (Shredder is a Utrom---come on!) If they made Shredder a Utrom as a way of bringing him back I'd totally damn the film and never go see another one again. Even the clone idea in the new series was dumb as well. No Foot Mystics, no clones, no Shredder as a Utrom, I want Karai as the new Shredder. She needs to prove her worth and merit to the franchise and please cast Michelle Yeoh as her voice replacement. Zhang Ziyi can't speak English worth a ****.

Like someone else mentioned here, they do not have to make the Shredder SUPERSHREDDER or anything.

There are several questions regarding this "universe's" Shredder? Did he really died? Where is his body? Did he died the same way like in the first movie?

The new movie didn't really answer these, so it's safe to say that they can "reinterpret" on how the Turtles supposedly "killed" The Shredder, and yet somehow he survived and not really dead as the Turtles would like to think. I did remember one scene when Leo said "Shredder is dead, who are you working for?" to Karai before Karai left, not answering anything. It could possibly be that Shredder a.k.a. Oruku Saki (the real man) is still running the organization.

Heck, the Uncle Ben's death scene was "reinterpreted" like I lost count how many in the sequels of SPIDER-MAN, so I'm sure it's not such a daunting task to "reinterpret" scenes that really didn't happen yet (i.e. the supposedly "death" and return of The Shredder).

Oh yeah, and please, no "mystic-worm-clone" stuff, and leave it to the comics, and please no "utrom-in-the-exosuit" Shredder (really hated those in the new Toon, he's basically Shredder and Krang combined in one character, and yet they HATED every characters from the old Toon).

In the show we found out he took the identity of the real shredder. Its explained in the last season, and the last season has the badass shredder.

Aah, but does it last? Will this Shredder possibly return in any of the future episodes?

Anyway, I do hope that Shredder will appear in the new TMNT movie-verse. Maybe have him say "Like a phoenix, I have risen from the ashes! And into my fire, you shall fall!" :woot:
