  • Hawkeye

Hard to say who should leave. I'd say nobody.

Maybe Hawkeye for Black Panther.

And who dares to vote Thor? :argh: You have no idea who you are dealing with!

Black Widow, it's pretty much a no brainer because it would be very true to her character to "move around".

This would be absolutely disgustingly horrific. I don't think we will lose anyone.

Judging by this post, what I'm about to say is more than likely going to get me ridiculed, but, with the way The Avengers ends, it would be very plausible for Marvel to actually go ahead and replace part of the team for the sequel. Because the team's 'Big Three' (Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor) have successful ongoing solo film franchises, they really aren't needed for the Avengers franchise going forward (they were for this one because that's what Marvel had been building toward, but there are now no 'storyline obligations' for them to remain part of the team) and could easily be replaced.

As for who could replace them, here's some suggestions:
Replacements for Captain America in The Avengers 2
Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier
Luke Cage

Replacements for Iron Man in The Avengers 2
James Rhodes/War Machine
Vision *

Replacements for Thor
Gamora
Captain Mar-Vell

* If Marvel introduces him into the MCU, Vision's personality and character ought to
be based on the consciousness of Phil Coulson

I agree 100%!!!

The SHIELD agent playing Galaga. That irresponsible bastard's got to go. :argh:

But...but Galaga is one of the best classic 80's Arcade games ever. The man clearly has good gaming taste!

Whedon won't do an Avengers without a female character. So unless they replace BW with another female character its a no go.

We should be adding MORE diversity to the roster, not reducing it.

Keep Black Widow, remove Hawkeye and introduce Captain Marvel (Carol).

Couldn´t care less for the Pyms, if they are to introduce a new power couple, make it the mutants Pietro and Wanda.

I chose hawkeye because in the Marvel Movie world he is the one least kniown, least build and most easily replaced.

Hulk might not get a solo film for a long time so hopefully he's in Avengers 2.

I'd prefer Hawkeye to at least appear in the next one but he's probably the least crucial member ( in the film) .

I think Hawkeye would be the least missed..or not missed at all.

Marvel not bringing Hulk back after all the buzz he's finally getting in Avegers would be a grave mistake.

Hawkeye because, apart from not understanding the appeal of any version of the character, the group have Cap and him and BW for human level combat stuff. Cap isn't going anywhere as a franchise character, thus realistically BW and Hawkeye could have a similar style, and therefore are expendable. And getting rid of the sole female on the team isn't a good idea IMO.

Other than that, Hulk would be an outside shot. The CGI might be expensive, he's not a "traditional" Avenger in the truest sense, and in story terms given the type of character Banner is, it might be easier to explain why he's not in the group anymore compared to the rest.

Best idea ever! It's brilliant, I cant think of anything else now, I'm obsessed with that :)

Actually two characters should go. Or instead of "go" just have their roles reduced...
Black Widow and Hawkeye, but instead of replacing them with the Pyms I say replace them with Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch.

They were both Avengers and from a business standpoint its smart for Marvel.

You can keep all of the characters tied together (Magneto/X-Men and Quick/Scarlett) if you decide to make another huge mega hit involving multiple characters.

The film tie ins work much better for Marvel than it would ever work for D.C. IMO.

This obiously raking into account the major players (Thor, Cap, IM and Hulk)

Storywise, and marketwise, probably Cap America would be easiest to keep out, but it would be heresy. A natural would be to left Hulk out, but you would be replacing the most popular (with the audience) part of this movie.

Really difficult choice. Avengers 2 should have the four main players, with more allies, and then make a transition to a different/mixed group.

I'd prefer if they all stay, but if someone has got to go, I vote for Hawkeye. And if Hawkeye is gonna go, let Black Widow go with him in a SHIELD movie with Fury and Hill, or Coulson if its an origin movie. I would like the Pyms to replace them if it happened.

The big 4 are irreplaceable for me.

If I had to pick one, then MAYBE Thor ... ? If the battle is Earth-based, I suppose.

My real choice is to leave it the way it is, because I wouldn't want to see the team do without Iron Man, Thor, Cap, and Hulk and I want to see more of Black Widow and Hawkeye.

Let's assume Marvel came to you and said "We are getting rid of a team member to make room for another. Who should we get rid of, and who should they be replaced with?"

THEY WILL NOT ACCEPT "DON'T REPLACE ANYONE" AS AN ANSWER!

Hawkeye and black widow can go off and make babies, add the pryms, and maybe jump in the end for the save

I don't think any Avenger should be replaced, but some can be minimized a bit so they can introduce new members like Henry & Janet Pym, or BP & Ms. Marvel.

I feel Widow just ain't super. Sure she can kick ass but really Hawkeye could have done everything she did. When he jumps off the building he then goes to the tower. Hawkeye I thought was too cool a strategist to boot.

Hawkeye also left the Avengers and joined the Defenders. Nobody's revoking his membership card.

After *eight years* in the Avengers. And Clint "joined" as an associate Defender for all of four issues in '73. And promptly rejoined the Avengers for the rest of his career, minus a (longer) stint in the Thunderbolts. Hulk was in the Avengers for 1, 1.5, or 2 issues tops.

Except for the fact that the Big Three are just that --- THE Big Three. Any incarnation of the Avengers begins with three core components: Cap, Thor, Iron Man. Period. Taking them out is literally ripping the heart out of the group.....what you have left is literally no longer the Avengers.

It's like taking out The Big Three in the Justice League --- Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. It just ain't done, son

Apparently Marvel felt the same way initially and Whedon put his foot down on the idea of not having any women in The Avengers. I feel like BW stole most of her scenes and was quite happy she was in the movie.

Black Widow.

MFW Hawkeye is the most voted to boot.
