yea if the animation was different it wouldnt have really changed anything. The main thing is TSSM just happened at the wrong time with the whole ending of kids wb to the marvel move to disney and all that.

NOT the ANIMATION, the CHARACTER DESIGNS!! HOW DO PEOPLE GET THAT WRONG?!

It's important to remember that this thread was started by a guy who thinks that Gwen Stacys' skank-tacular portrayal in USM was "new and improved".

Y'know, I actually rather prefer the original concept art for Mary Jane. Spidey looks pretty much identical to the finished product, and the only thing that really changed about Gwen was her hair. The only one that I really don't like out of there is Peter Parker.

Same over here...Though I liked Gwen with Longer hair than THAT. I really don't care for Peter there.

Oh and the character designs wasn't the thing that cancelled the show. (it would have been cancelled sooner if that) Even with those designs it would be in the same place it is now... I want my REAL Hobgoblin story animated [BLEEP] it!

I love those designs! The characters are skinnier and have nice art!

Spider and Mary Jane are very good but Peter need changes and Gwen need a lot of changes, its HORRIBLE.

Yeah, Spider-man and MJ look okay, but I don't like the way Peter and Gwen look there.

Pretty sure it's been said a billion times, but it's because Disney bought Marvel, not because the show failed on any level. The show was amazing. Sorry, spectacular. Hopefully Ultimate Spider-Man will be a spiritual successor.

@Anno Domini: Hahahaha, I knew that looked familiar. I loved Digimon as a kid. I wonder if it's on Netflix....
