If the JLA gets Made how would you design the Costumes?????

I'm not too happy with Aquaman's armor, but think of it as fishscale chainmail.

That's way to complex and busy for my tastes. Part of my love for the GL costume is the simplicity of it.

Im all for simplicity but I still like that little extra that they use to make it an official movie costume

I like Stewart's version of the Green Lanter suit. I was never really fond of Hal's white gloves.

yea Stewart's rocks too I kno alot of people who dont like the white gloves and perfer the guantlets

I would make all the costumes rubber and give everyone's costume nipples.

Just kidding.

I would make them as colorful and flashy as the comics though. You can't have a movie with a space cop, and super runner, an amazon princess, a super alien hero, an atlantian king, a martian, and a dark vigilantee, and try to make all their costumes realistic and the same.
Each should be Fantastic and different because they are suppossed to be Earth GREATEST heroes, and each from different comics.

Superman: Keep the SR suit, brighten the reds, broaden the cape a bit. Same material. Higher boots maybe.

Batman: Keep the TDK suit.

Wonder Woman: Stylize the bustier a bit, make it armor-ish in a way, as though it could be a magical armor. Get the blue strips with silvery sparkling star studs on it. Keep everything else the same.

Green Lantern: Ultimate (Wizard) John Stewart style, with the glowing chestpiece from the current comics.

Flash: A material that looks tight and smooth. If not rubber, a spandex/something amalgam, perhaps padded.

Martian Manhunter: Hellboy/Thing style with some updates of the classic look. The pic at the top of this page is a great example.

Aquaman: Green organic looking trunks, MAYBE an orange chestplate...

I think you're on the right track with GL and Flash. They should be similar to the film versions of Spider-Man or Fantastic Four. Also digging Wonder Woman in the war skirt. Not too sure about Aquaman or J'onn, but those two will be hardest, IMO.

Don't like your casting, but I definitely think you've on the right track as far as the costumes go:

Aquaman - Not exactly like that, but I definitely know what you're going for, and it's what I thought to: Make him visually look like Sword of Atlantis Aquaman (Basically like a medieval except with fish scales instead of metal) and then characterize him like the normal Aquaman

Flash - Pretty much perfect, but I'd make the ear things a lot smaller

Batman - I'd be perfectly fine with his TDK suit, but I alsot hink this is a great opportunity to finally try the black and gray suit.

Superman - Yep, pretty much keep it the same, but because the Justice League film would have to create a much more colourful world to accommodate all of these colourful heroes, they can afford to take the red up a few notches

Wonder Woman - change the blue to red, and then change all the red parts to an almost brownish leather (think like Superman's boots) except make them look really worn out and used

Green Lantern - The suit itself is perfect, but I would either drop the mask all-together, or replace it with some sort of customized cowl. Also, never was a fan of the white gloves.

Martian Manhunter - I suppose something like that would be fine, I've actually come up with my own idea for the costum that's sort of halfway between the classic one and the new one, but I guess something like that would be fine too

I was thinking that too dropping the mask and just getting glowing green contacts

Yeah, well, my Martian Manhunter really isn't that much different from the comics version, I just kept the pants from the Juggernaut pic.
With Aquaman, I tried making the armor fishscale looking, but it didn't happen, but like I said, I was going for a fishscale chainmale type thing.

Exactly. I just really don't want his outfit looking like green and orange suba gear.
Flash - Pretty much perfect, but I'd make the ear things a lot smaller
Yeah I agree.

I'm happy without the black and grey suit.
Superman - Yep, pretty much keep it the same, but because the Justice League film would have to create a much more colourful world to accommodate all of these colourful heroes, they can afford to take the red up a few notches
Yep that's what I did. All I changed from the promo pic was turning the crimson to a brighter red.
Wonder Woman - change the blue to red, and then change all the red parts to an almost brownish leather (think like Superman's boots) except make them look really worn out and used
Nah, I don't want her only in red/crimson. This isn't exactly how I want her to look, but basically more of a giving her a gladiator motif, because I know everybody has a hard-on for realism, and her comic outfit isn't believable for an Amazon princess.
Green Lantern - The suit itself is perfect, but I would either drop the mask all-together, or replace it with some sort of customized cowl. Also, never was a fan of the white gloves.
I think it's a bit stupid to drop the mask. And going for a cowl is lame for the Green Lantern in my honest opinion. For the white gloves, I kinda agree, I'd prefer more white accents if any white was to be in the suit.
Martian Manhunter - I suppose something like that would be fine, I've actually come up with my own idea for the costum that's sort of halfway between the classic one and the new one, but I guess something like that would be fine too
Like I said to sundown, my Martian Manhunter really isn't that much different from the comics version, I just kept the pants from the Juggernaut pic.

The thing about the GL mask is that it doesn't protect his identity anyway, and how do you even make that practical without him having a cheesy looking string on the back? I say just drop it all together and have it be like Superman - Nobody recognizes it's him because... well, just because.

Though I think it could work if it were instead green, or even black, makeup done in the same design.

I actually got this idea while watching The Incredibles:

face1.jpg

Even though it's an actual mask in the movie, with the way it's drawn and how it moves along with his facial features when animated it looks (to me, at least) more like paint than a mask, and I think something like that could work great in a live action enviornment.

they could use spirit gum or something to make it stick and then do the old green face paint around the eyes to make him un noticeable that seemed to work for Batman besides that I still say contacts

You could see Chris O'Donnell's facial expressions as Robin so I don't see where you came up with that....

Superman - Slightly altered version of the SR suit with a different cape attachment and slightly brighter red (seen above).

Batman - TDK suit

Wonder Woman - Armored breastplate and star spangled trucks showing glorious ass cleavage;

The Flash - Suit made of the same material as the SR suit; form fitting (tight).

Aquaman - Chainmale-type armor (similar to knights)

Green Lantern - Suit made of same material as SR suit; form fitting; Ultimates style except with white logo in center.

You could see Chris O'Donnell's facial expressions as Robin so I don't see where you came up with that....

that was one of the main concerns if his facial expressions could be shown through the mask so actually thats a good thing

Why? All thats changed is the cape attachment now flowing to the shoulders instead of the back.

Its Kakarot's manip.

i think WW's outfit should be similar to Spears' outfit in that pepsi commercial, but with the body plate and different crown/tiara
pepsihq4.jpg

and the sensual but agressive WW attitude
