If the JLA gets Made how would you design the Costumes?????

I can't figure out why Red Tornado would have a cape. I can justify it with most of the other caped Leaguers, even Martian Manhunter (it's part of his blending in with the other heroes), but how do you give a cape to an android with wind powers? Does it just look really cool bellowing against his mach-plus winds?

Wadda ya say???

Is that really real?

The shade of blue is too dark and the sheen is completely awful (I can't stress how awful), but man, that clings to his physique amazingly well, more than I thought possible. Really looks like an action figure, in a good way. A lighter blue, completely matte version, if possible, would look cool.

I like the shade of blue, personally. The yellow area on the S shield could be better, but that's pretty nice. How'd you do it?

It's got nothing to do with me, the filename says Mike Hill Superman, and that's the guy who did the Alex Ross Superman and Batman waxwork figures. He's also sculpted some busts and stuff for Marvel, I think. I can't find anything else about it.

But no, I actually want a darker blue than we've seen on Reeve or Eouth, but not THAT dark.

Don't like the wide-low collar either. God, will some film-makers just give us a bloody Curt Swan/Jim Lee/Frank Quitely style cape/collar already?

From what I've read it is from a short film in production called: THE SECRET TRUTH

It's being made by Mike Hill. Here is a quote that accompanied that pic from a BOF interview with him:

Obviously being an artist who has studied, drawn and rendered these characters for over three decades I have my own ideas on how I think they would look in real life. A while ago I started production on a Superman short film THE SECRET TRUTH which took him back to his roots in the 40's. My concept was to portray how these larger than life heroes help people, even without having to resort to super-heroics. So I came up with my interpretation of Supermans costume, still classic in design but with a futuristic/Kryptonian grandeour. It's Superman, even his costume has to look SUPER and out of this world. I don't buy that Ma Kent made it."

I really hope that film gets online somewhere along the way. I do agree with you regarding the sheen and coloring, but would love to see that suit in motion.

Yeah, I don't mind a darker blue but that looks too dark in that picture. Especially with such a light red.

BTW--For anyone interested. I emailed the artist regarding the short film and unfortunately it is on hold at the moment.

that looks like a bust, is it a real individual?

I don't know.
That is something I meant to ask him, but forgot to include in my email.
My first thought would be that it's real since I believe the film was in production.
But looking at his other work there is no telling, he's really good. Maybe it's just a sculpt he made of the suit design he is or intends to use.

I like it, guys. I think the red should stand out more and the blue should be darker, personally. Maybe not such of a bright red, but you get my point. S shield should be raised a little.

the face looks so real, the costume looks fake. amazing sculpture if it's a bust.

i don't like the yellow being SO reflective tho. i don't mind a shiny gold, but i don't want that part to look that dark and reflective.

Too bad it's not set at around the turn of the 20th century.

The gaslight Justice League.
